I just recently wiped my harddrive and reinstalled Windows XP Home Edition. I installed my anitvirus software (Nod32) and my anti-spyware (MS anti-spyware beta). Then I tried to install Sales Manager Pro. I downloaded from your site and when I click the exe file, it appears like it is doing something (it shows the icon the appears when you unzip compressed files) but nothing happens. The installation wizard doesn't appears. I turned off both my anti-spyware and anti-virus protection, redownload the software, but the same thing happens? Am I doing something wrong?
How big is your download file? Perhaps you don't have the whole file downloaded. It should be about 10.3 MB. Please try the following steps:
1. Disable any programs you are running other than your browser when you download.
2. Try saving the program to a location other than your current default. For example, if you have been sending it to a Download folder, try saving to your Desktop or your My Documents folder instead.
3. Close your browser before you double-click the icon to run the installer.
4. Be sure you are choosing to save to disk, and not trying to run it from its current location.
These steps should assist you in getting a complete copy of the software onto your machine to install. Please let us know if you have any other questions or if you continue to have problems.
I am having the exact same proplem.
The only program I have running when I download is Norton Internet Security. My file size is okay, 10.3 mb, saved to disc on my desktop, browser closed. I click on it and the installer dissapears. I'm using Windows XP SP2.
The purpose of my download was to try to re-install it because...
1. Every time I click on something in the program, I get a box saying Microsoft Word is about to install.
2. I'm trying to do a batch import for my Vendio Store and I keep getting a runtime error message when it goes to import the batch and it ends with windows closing the program.
Thanks for the fast reply. The Word 2000 problem was close but not quite the same as what was on that page. Anyway, I tried what they suggested and nothing changed so I tried follwing along with the install inside of Sales Manager Pro which wouldn't close while that install box was open anyway. I got a message saying that windows installer could not continue and I closed it all, opened Word then opened Sales Manager Pro then closed Word. That problem seems to be gone (for now!).
When I try the import the message says "AW Import Run-Time error "0"
I also tried installing my download again and it would not install. I have installed other programs recently, so the whole Windows install thing appears to be working fine. I thought about removing Sales Manager Pro then installing it again, but I'm afraid I may loose it alltogether. I'd rather just do the store import manually than take that chance.

If you're still having problems, can you check with the following list:
- You have administrative rights on the system
- a TEMP folder is set: Go to the Command Prompt and enter SET TEMP; the folder returned by that command must exists on the hard disk
- there is enough free space on the hard disk
- Check for updates with Windows and Internet Explorer.

That's all okay and doesn't have much to do with anything because I can import as inventory but not as a batch. Sounds to me like something in the program may have become corrupted with a Windows or Symantic update but being I'm having the install problem I'm not about to remove the program and try to install it again. Actually it's not worth all this time and trouble with "try this and try that." I'll just live without it.

Hmmm, just knocked my 200+ item batch down to five items and it worked. Seems it was just too big a file, that's all.
The install problem still remains but I don't need to install it now. That could clear up with the next Windows update, too!
