Is any one else having this problem
I sell auction catalogs and have over 10,000 images we created over the past 2 years to sell them with.
Since i installed this new upgrade, it is DELETING THE IMAGES from my computer when i upload new ones!!!
I spend hours working on one image
it also RENAMES IT!!!
NO one at vendio is responding to my concerns.
I dont like that i cant find the images in sales manager pro stored in the image file with the original name i gave it.
IS anyone else using another service other than vendio , that they can recommend
thank you
When you installed the new version of Pro, what did you choose for image foldering options? Also, the new version of Pro does not store images in the old 'images' folder. The only way images would get deleted is if you deleted them yourself out of the image bar. Had you been using the old 'images' folder as a placemarker for where your images are stored? If so, that would be why they appear to be deleting off your computer. Let me know so I can point you to the right direction of where your images are now located.
Images can't be renamed in Pro -- they can only be renamed online, and that is if you choose to rename. Can you give us an example of the real image name, and what it is renaming it to?

no
i know what i am doing I am not a novice at this.
I uploaded images from one of my folders for a new catalog i was listing
your site uploaded them and when i went back to the folder on my computer , THEY WERE GONE!!!
There is no way I would ever delete those photos.
this is the example of renaming
this is the one that was deleted off my computer
s7607cover.jpg
your software renamed it
00005743
mind you that took me an hour to find
i have over 8000 images on your service
that have been renamed in my sales manager pro
I want the old one back. we have 2 years worth of ads on this computer for all the catalogs we created
over 10,000 of them with 20,000 plus images
To have your software just DELETE THE IMAGES when they upload them is UNACCEPTABLE
NOw DONT ASK ME ANY MORE QUESTIONS
Did I do this or that. I have worked with your sevice for over 2 years now even before it was vendio, under other EBAY ids. I know what I am
doing and when something is seriously wrong!
THIS IS YOUR PROBLEM AND IT NEEDs URGENT ATTENTION
I am sick of paying more for a sevice and getting less. In this case I feel robbed
I am sorry for the attitude But i trusted vendio with over 8,000 of my images that have been meticulously coded to correspond with the catalog it belongs to and your service HAS RENAMED THEM!!!!
I always relied on that image folder in the former version of vendio to back them up
NOW THEY ARE WORTHLESS TO ME NOW
AND I HAVE BEEN CHARGED A LOT OF MONEY FOR THIS NIGHTMARE
thank you and again i am sorry but I have every reason to be furious with your service

on top of it
i just went to create an ad of images i already uploaded on Friday,
VENDIOS SOFTWARE NOT ONLY DELETED THEM FROM THE COMPUTER BUT THEY ARE NOT IN THE INTERIM FOLDER UNDER ANY NAME OR ON YOUR WEB SITE
this all had to do with friday night
NOW WHAT HAPPENED.
what glitch was uploaded onto my desktop when i synchronized?
i think it is deplorable that you are just leaving me hanging here
IF YOUR COMPANY MADE A MISTAKE, OWN UP TO IT
JUST DON’T IGNORE ME
We are not ignoring you, I sent you an email over the weekend telling you that we have engineering taking a look at your issue so that you would not think that we are brushing your problem off. Did you get my email? Regardless, engineering has checked into this.
Please tell us if you are managing your images directly from the disk, or putting your images directly into the 'images' directly from within the Sales Manager Pro folder. This worked fine for previous versions, however for this new version of Pro, you cannot do this anymore. The images interface was changed since we now allow for online image foldering, and you can now set the option to use your online folders. If you are putting them into the directory, the original image is basically being 'imported' into the SMPro system via move, and not via copy. It is important that you tell us how you are managing your images so we can help you or we are going to continue to go in circles.
Regarding the image renaming issue -- the correct name of the image is seen in the SMPro UI, and not on the disk. So if you are managing your images through that 'images' folder then it is going to look like the images are being renamed, when they are not. If you went online and looked up your 's7607cover' image then you would see it was uploaded and the name didn't change. It is correct in the UI. If you manage images from your 'images' folder you aren't going to see the proper name. Starting with SMPro 6.1, we do not recommend that you manually manage your images using that directory. This was available in older Pro versions. In the new version, the image names are synched but kept into an images database. The correct names can be seen only in the SMPro UI.
We changed the way images are handled in the new version of Pro so we could support the synchronization of image folders. We now also support case sensitivity on image names, and we can now support a larger number of images. What we recommend for you is to split up your Unfiled folder into several different image folders. Now this is just an assumption that we have to make, since you have not really confirmed how you are managing your images -- but it looks like you are using the explorer ability to search an image by typing in the first letters of the image name -- this would definitely be why you are panicked that the images got renamed or deleted. We strongly advise you to use the SMPro UI to manage your images (the image bar in Pro -- you can drag and drop into it easily).
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I AM UPLOADING THEM ONTO THE PROGRAM
UNDER EDIT / ADD IMAGES
THIS HAPPENED FRIDAY NIGHT
WHEN THEY DELETED THEM FROM MY ORIGINAL FOLDER ON MY COMPUTER WHERE I WAS STORING THEM
I KNOW NOT TO TRANSFER THEM USING EXPLORER OR I WOULD MOVE THEM. IT IS A PROBLEM WITH YOUR PROGRAM
WAS THERE A GLITCH IN YOUR PROGRAM WHEN I SYNC IT ON FRIDAY
IT MOVED THEM TO SALES MANAGER PRO INSTEAD OF COPYING THEM
I AM NOT USING ANY FOLDERS AS I DONT TRUST YOUR PROGRAM NOW
We aren't having any glitches that would have resulted in what happened to your Pro. I have asked engineering to again, review the thread and your response. Thank you for your patience.
