Hello,

Are you getting an error message when this happens? If so, please let us know what it says. How much RAM do you have?

You might want to try uninstalling and reinstalling Pro to see if that helps.

Regards,

Sonya

Hello,

When did this first appear to start, and can you tie it into any other changes on your system around that time, specially with the additional or removal of other software?

Or is this your first attempt to use the offline Sales Manager Pro?

Typically Windows will give you some kind of error message when it terminates a program early. If you could recreate this error to get this message, that should help us track down some possible solutions (since uninstall and reinstall doesn't appear to have helped.)

Regards,
Christopher

We get this problem as well. Except we get no error messages.
The application just shuts down.
We restart it and it comes back up but this is a pain and shouldn't happen.
Nothing has changed on our system.
Any ideas?
Dennis

Again sorry for the delay.

Click here to visit the update site for Windows. Check to be sure that your copy of Windows is fully updated at this time.

If you end up needing to update Windows, try the Pro software again and let us know if this error persists.

Hello victorianviva and dennysdenn,
In the past I had the same problem to. I supose that you are using the html editor of Sales Manager PRO, if yes, check the html code for blank spaces in it... You find some? whell if yes the problem is located there. When we use HTML Editor, I don't know why it isnert blank spaces in the code, when that blank spaces are many the program can't hanle with it and shut down. The work around I use (I don't have that errors for many moths)is working directly in the html instance of html editor. I hope that could be helpful. best regards, David

Hi Rannie,

What version of Pro do you have and are both of your OS's Windows XP, or is your other computer a different OS?

If you can remember what your error message said, that would be great.

Sonya

Hello,

Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling the program, then going through the listing process again? If you encounter this error again, let me know if your RAM has changed since the last time.

Sonya

I think you need to update your ram big time. With xp and 156M your starving it. as you say you get working on the report then it crashes. it ran out of ram. You can increase your virtual memory but you need to buy more ram. you need to max out your systems ram capacity and it is very cheap to buy and easy to replace. also you need to clear out your cache memory under accessories on the main menu and defrag that puppy.

Thanks for posting the stats on your machine.
you have 512 of ram on board with 2 gigs of virtual memory. with xp most of that is being used to run the programs. Look at your list and see what is left after you turn on the machine (237)I have 30 gigs in my virtual memory and 2 gigs of ram.

If you are working with pictures and modifying them the memory gets sucked up. for example Adobe photosmart used 3 times the memory for the size for each picture you modify it with. all of your saves and revisions are kept in this virtual memory till you close out the programs or the machine. so if you are working with your lister and moving pictures around you may be using up the memory that is available.

You can increase your virtual memory by just finding it on your machine and it is a slide control you increase it to what ever it will allow.
Check your owners manual and you can see if you can switch out the ram for more it really is cheap (less than a $100)

Cache cleaning and defraging- i just got done with the pictures for 6 bids i am listing tonight.150 megs in caches just to get them ready.

Under regular use of your computer it will work fine it is just times like this it will let you down.

Someone told me once that if you have 10 wait-staff in the dining room and one cook in the kitchen thing will be slow out front.

You have one cook in the kitchen there on your machine.
thanks
roger
