I have chosen USPS Parcel Post(calc) as a shiiping option on all of my current auctions. But whenever any of my customers type their zipcode in to calculate shipping, Parcel Post gives them a $7.00 shipping fee. The USPS Priority is showing cheaper than that. When creating the batch, I put in that the item weighs 4 oz.
How can this be $7.00 to ship a 4 oz. pkg.??? thanks for your help in advance. getbent101
The rates calculation is correct, and you can double check it on the USPS site:
http://postcalc.usps.gov/
It is likely that the small package weight makes Parcel Post a less appropriate carrier choice. See mention about Parcel Post Nonmachinable Surcharge also on the USPS site: "A nonmachinable surcharge applies to certain items including packages weighing less than 6 ounces".
