Can't Synchronize Desktop Sales Manager Pro Program with online Vendio Sales Manager Merchandising Edition. I updated this morning to the more recent version (7.0). I deleted all my photos I already had in My online Vendio Sales Manager Merchandising Edition and successfully reloaded new ones using my Desktop Sales Manager Pro into my online Manager but I still get failure message when I try to get them in my desktop Sales Manager Pro.

I've also tried to upload a test batch from Sales Manager Pro to eBay and get the same response. I've gone into my Preferences and made sure my password was correct, and that My 2 boxes in the left side of the Synchronization box are unchecked.

I can create auctions online in my Sales Manager Merchandising just fine and load pics from my camera to them just fine. Why can't I get my Sales Manager Pro to work????
The last synchronization I did was this morning at 6:45 a.m. and have not been able to synchronize/upload since then!!!

I’ve used this same system for months now and have had no trouble with it until now. Here is the details of the failure I am getting.

Oh, and I created these new auctions AFTER I got the newest version of Sales Manager Pro.

Lastly, I also disabled my Anti-spyware, Firewall and anti-virus to see if this would help me in my attempt to synchronize. It did not help.

here are the details I get when I try to Synchronize and/or upload:

Start banner synchronization.
Banner synchronized.
Start announcements synchronization.
Announcements synchronized.
Comparing local and online counters.
Local and online counters are identical.
Comparing local and online templates.
Number of successful listing uploads: 0.
Synchronization failed - Bad response from server

I am having the same exact problem since upgrading to the 7.0 this morning. It's driving me nuts and can't figure out what to do or what is wrong. I wish I just left well enough alone HELP!

Hello,

Typically this is the result of a firewall or the like having issues with the new program.

camini - doublecheck any firewall programs that you have, especially if you use norton internet securities, as since the program changed it is possible it added it back into the 'block all' category.

linen53 - given the location where yours is currently failing, it won't be a firewall issue as it wouldnt have been able to synch as far as it did before failing. If it failed instantly upon trying to synch then it would have been a firewall problem.

Try closing out of your batches completely and just performing a synch without any data attempting to upload for now. Let us know the results of your efforts, and if you can include the details as you have above that would be really helpful.

I am having the same trouble. I have used this for years and now I can't even list auctions off line. As soon as someone finds the problem out please let me know. I have worked the whole day yesterday on getting it to load with no success. I have deleted my old one and reloaded it 4 times and still get the same message. I have turned off Norton, spy ware and firewalls. I would really like to get running again if anyone knows the problem

I have tried to do a Synchronization dozens of times yesterday when I just open up my Sales Manager Pro with no batches open. I've tried turning off all Norton Firewall, anti-spy and anti-virus programs. I've tried standing on my head and still no success ;o)

I still end up with the same message:
Synchronization failed-Bad Response from Server.

And Yes Birdogdeb, I tried removing the Sales Manager Pro about half a dozen times making sure to turn off all Norton programs listed above and tried to then reload it onto my computer and still the same results.

This totally ruined my day, because like Birdogdeb I spent (literally) the whole day trying to figure it out. I now know it isn't my fault, it has something to do with Vendio.

Details still say:

Start banner synchronization.
Banner synchronized.
Start announcements synchronization.
Announcements synchronized.
Comparing local and online counters.
Local and online counters are identical.
Comparing local and online templates.
Number of successful listing uploads: 0.

Oh and one other thing I didn't mention in my original message I have DSL hookup so it can't be from a slow connection.

Good morning! Thanks for the advice Christopher. I looked into my McAfee firewall and vendio SMPro 7.0 and AMUpd 7.3 has full access allowed. When I updated to 7.0 yesterday McAfee asked me if I wanted to allow it or not and of course I did.
The same thing is still happening as like all day yesterday. When I sychronize, it gets as far as templates and then a window comes up saying Warning Sychronization has failed, Bad Response from server.
I have comcast high speed internet. When on SMPro, it runs extremely slow when I click synchronize. Everything else is working just fine on the internet.
My problem started when I upgraded to 7.0. Can I go back to the previous one? I am really aggravated cause I leave for vacation next week and wanted to list items to end before I left.
I can list right from vendio but that will take forever listing which I will do if this doesn't get rectified.
Any futher suggestions? This is really ridiculous and too much time wasted. PLZ HELP! Cheryl

Hello,

We have been unable to replicate the error thus far and could use a few details from anyone that can send us the following:

Go to the Vendio directory in your C drive:
C:\Program Files\Vendio

Look for a text file titled AMPro.

If you do locate this file, email it to me.

[email protected]



If this file is really big and you are unable to email it then rename or delete it.

- start SMPro
- refuse sync
- Help > About, check TestMode
- now press Sync button on left
(sync will probably fail. If so, press OK)
- Help > About, and uncheck TestMode
- close SMPro

Now send the AMpro.log file to the address listed above. We hope to have this corrected as quickly as possible.

Am still unable to list regular auctions-just uploaded a short batch to Ebay Stores-NO problem-went right through. Downloaded 7.0, but it evidently is not working and the popup for updates keeps coming up every time I open SMpro. Have used your service for several years, and have updated to each new version, with no problem. Have checked Norton to make sure nothing is being blocked. Will try later today; if still having problems, will list directly with Ebay-I need to get some listings done.

Hello,

The fix for the synch error that was coming up for some of you is now live on the site. Go ahead and try to synch the Pro software again and you shouldn't run into the above error message.
