I am having trouble starting SMP. When I click the desktop shortcut I get the message ' Run-Time Error 429 ActiveX component cant creat object' The only way I can run SMP is to Re Install.I have the latest version. Is this a SMP issue or a VB problem with my computer. I am using XP Pro.SP2
Runtime error 429 generally indicates a problem within the Sales Manager Pro file structure. In order to correct this, we would recommend that you uninstall then reinstall the application.
To uninstall, you may use the Add/Remove Programs wizard in Windows. Your data should stay intact even after uninstalling, but you may want to save your batches and images folders and the inv.dat file (located in the data folder) to a different location on your hard drive.
Once you have uninstalled the program, you should download a fresh install kit, located here: http://www.vendio.com/my/client/
Reinstall the program, making absolutely certain that all applications are closed (check the icons in your Windows toolbar on the lower righthand side.) If you still experience this problem after taking these steps, please let us know.
