Hello,
I had to do a clean install of Sales Manager Pro and when during sync it stops while uploading images and gives me a message regarding a picture in particular claiming some kind of error of a corrupted image. I delete the image and have to restart the sync until it hits another image. I have tons of photos and this is taking forever, do you know why this is happening?
Also, can I just upload certain images to SMP instead of having to load these thousands of images?

This is the message I keep getting, I now downloaded the new version. All images are roughly the same size. This didn't happen a few days ago when I had to do the same with my laptop.
Synchronization failed - Unable to resolve server name when synchronizing file 'C:\Program Files\Vendio\temp\syncfile2401'
There is a problem with images synchronization.
Please check the sync log, visible after clicking the Details button, to see which image file halted the sync process, then go to www.Vendio.com and check the status of the image.
If its upload failed (which might be due to excessive size, invalid format, or corrupted data), please remove the image from the SMPro Image Bar.

Hello Charlotts,
Hmm...lets see here-I'll check around and see if anyone has seen that particular error before, and what could be causing it. In the meantime please check the following, especially number 6:
1. Before you synch, please verify that you are connected to the internet and that your connection has not timed out.
2. If you are not entering the internet from a proxy server specified in your browser, from your toolbar, select "Edit", "Preferences", then "Connection". Make sure that the "connect using proxy" box is unchecked.
3. If your browser is set to access the internet through a proxy server, please make sure that the Proxy Host/Proxy Port settings within your browser match those within SM Pro.
4. Check your image file names, and make sure that they are saved as jpeg images (we highly recommend saving your images as jpegs due to size and compatibility issues.)
5. Try lowering the security level in any anti-virus or firewall software that you may be using. This type of software can interfere with synchronizations if the security level is set at high or medium-high.
6. Check your image file sizes, and make sure that your images do not exceed 100kb apiece. Large images can cause an upload to fail.
7. If you are uploading a large batch, try splitting it up into smaller batches of no more than 10 auctions. If your ISP is experiencing any connectivity problems, a large batch may cause your upload to fail.
8. If you have just upgraded to Windows XP, try the following:
- Close Sales Manager Pro, and then right-click on the Sales Manager Pro icon on your desktop
- Select 'properties'
- Select the Compatibility tab
- Check the ''Run this program in compatibility mode for' box
- Choose your previous Windows version
- Click 'Apply'
I hope that with this you can isolate the issue, if not please feel free to contact us again if this does not help.

Hi
Thank you for all the suggestions. I really would like to "select" just the new images to upload them.
I understand how to make it not upload all of them, I just don't understand how to upload a few images at a time and use them in my batches.
thanks!
Using the above mentioned preference will only stop the old images in your account from downloading to the SMPRO program.
If you leave the other image related preference box in this section unchecked, SMPRO will upload any/all new images that you have since added to SMPRO (which is usually the desired behavior.)
You can however check the other preference on this page as well, so it simply uploads new images only when required by the batch your currently working on.

Hi, I am having the same problems with my pics but I was under the understanding that pics could be well over the 100kb ceiling and upload fine. Is this new? I haven't changed anything with my picture taking so what is the deal. Thanks Laurra

Hello Laurra,
Usually your images can be up to 500kb, however, sometimes larger images can cause the upload to fail. Are you getting a synchronization error? What is the exact error that you are getting? Have you checked the other 7 possible issues that Ed provided?
