I was forced to put a fixed shipping amount in an auction that I wanted to send as calculated shipping.
I did not want a fixed shipping listed because if someone on my side of the United States wins than it is cheaper to mail the item with calculated shipping. I had to put in the most expensive fixed shipping just in case someone from the western part of the US wins, which makes my shipping cost seem high if someone near my zip code wins.
After launching this item I have gone into my Account and changed the box in ebay shipping and payment to "unchecked" "I am specifying".
Will this fix the problem?
Will I be able to pick fixed or calculated shipping when I am setting up the next auction that I list with out having to put both in the auction?
In order for your listings to be included in the new eBay search results you will need to specify your shipping costs for eBay checkout. In order to specify shipping costs for eBay checkout you must check the box "I am specifying shipping costs for eBay checkout". After checking that box, if you are offering calculated shipping you will need to select the calculated shipping option in the "I am specifying shipping costs for eBay checkout" section. If you are offering fixed shipping then you will need to specify fixed shipping in this section.
If you continue to have trouble adding calculated shipping after selecting calculated shipping in the "I am specifying shipping costs for eBay checkout" section, please let us know in what way you were forced to put fixed shipping into your listing. Did you get an error?
