Yes, I know you're working on a new product, and diverting new users to the Andale tool. But some of use have been with you for many years now and it's getting very frustrating. There are a number of changes to eBay that are not reflected in SMPro. I will NOT list online. Even with high speed, it's way too slow.
I realize you're scrambling with all the eBay changes and SMPro isn't a high priority... but a little communication would be nice... and a few updates would be way better than nice.

Hello,
If there is ever an update to SMPRO from this point forward, it would only be to make a more stable version that works better with Windows Vista. (being evaluated now) - as the replacement tool is a little ways off yet, likely not to be seen until early next year.
As for options available online that you can't do within SMPRO, we will continue to make them available as 'defaults' - like with the Return policy now, so you can just set it up in your online preferences and all items uploaded from Pro will automatically use them. The same process is going to be used for the handling time fields once available.
Earlier you had mentioned the gallery plus issue with SMPRO, but really this isn't something that Pro is missing Vs the online Sales Manager, as we cannot support that option from any of the listing tools at this time.
Were there features currently available online that you feel you need in Sales Manager Pro?

I also list exclusively with SMPro (on 2 accounts, mind you), and find it very frustrating, how behind it is.
Currently, my largest source of agita is that I cannot specify International shipping by country. I know that this recently became available on the online version, but would really appreciate an update that will allow this in Pro.
My problem is that I don't want to scare away Canadian customers with high shipping prices, and I'm getting a lot of grief from overseas customers, when they don't get the "Canadian" shipping price they were expecting.
Perhaps you can come up with a workaround.

Hello,
At this time, the only workaround for that would be to upload the listings from Sales Manager Pro to your online account (but do not list or schedule them). You would then be able to edit them to change the shipping information, and then schedule/list the items.

Hi Nathan,
Thanks for the response. I've started to do that, but obviously find it time consuming etc.... I'm hoping the issue will be addressed in the update / upgrade. (right?)
I noticed that you're advertising a product called Vendio Desktop to prospective customers.
Is this an actual piece of software?
or the planned SM Pro replacement?

Actually Gallery Plus (and value pack) IS available in the online version. Take a look.
I have tried entering a return policy, but because I don't have a return time selected my paragraph is ignored. (eBay does not require you to accept returns, merely to have a formal policy.) The information I have entered into the policy box is not being included in my auctions.
I've got eBay planning to mandate their checkout, which doesn't work well with many of my shipping situations (guess what - their suggestion is to enter something and manually adjust invoices - sound familiar?)
And Vendio is not updating the product I use and has an indefinite launch date for a complete replacement product - which may or may not work for me.

I, too, would like to use the UK visibility on some items but not all. If I set it in my preference, I'm spending 40 cent extra per listing for some items I can't even ship to the UK because they are too large. It's too time consuming to edit each item on line before they launch and too expensive to offer it on all listing.

tabletopitems - The Vendio Desktop application is a software program that you download. It's not exactly what will be replacing Sales Manager Pro, but it is similar to what we'll be using instead of SMPRO in the future. (in that you'll be able to do more post sale management with it, and have actual round trip inventory control - for those that specifically need a tool that isn't online.)
oldcountrybarn - sorry, your right, you can do the gallery plus from the full featured web based Sales Manager now.
As noted the return policy default isn't working properly and our engineers are checking into the cause and fix. There is a missing field in the return policy and the handling time needs to be added. Both of these will be able to be defaulted as 'on' for all items posted to eBay prior to their requirement.
ladyjewels2000 - thank you for the feedback on the UK site visibility option. You would need to enable this from the full featured web based Sales Manager at this time, but we do hope to have it available in the next offline listing tool we make available.

I tried the Andale version "desktop" and found that it did not work for me. It would be okay if most of my items were the same, but I have too many variables that need to each be set individually for an auction, not set up as defaults.
I am very concerned that I will be "bearing" with you until the replacement comes out, only to find that it doesn't meet my needs. There are plenty of less expensive listing tools available, including many that will schedule launch times. eBay is soon going to be eliminating third party checkout. Why should I stick around? I'm trying, but I'm not feeling much love.
I also very much like the current post-sale management function, where I can tell at a glance the status of all my ended items.
(Also, not that this is something you want, but I have several years worth of unarchived listings - and search through them when I find an item similar to something I sold in the past. I then can use the relist and make minor changes, or see what the item sold for, etc. I like that!)

Hello,
I do not have any specifics available for how the replacement for Sales Manager Pro will look. Note also that you will still be able to use Vendio checkout with your eBay listings, but in the future it will need to be done using checkout redirect.
Tabletopitems, the Vendio Desktop is not available for you type of account. You would need to open a completely new account in order to use Vendio Desktop, and it would not look like your existing account. Vendio released a new home page and corporate site, which now features products available through both the Vendio and (formerly) Andale services. When this new corporate site was released, the customer account information was combined into the same database, and all Andale tools were rebranded. We will be continuing to combine platforms and services over the coming months, and will be widely announcing when additional (and new) products and features become available to all users.

Christopher and Nathan,
This answer that you have given to us has been the same broken record for the last 15 months.
The Andale product has less features than what we have now.(i used it and it was a trip!)
So I (it seems to me) and others want to know, should me move on to another listing company.
They built the Empire State Building in less time it takes to get an update on these programs.
With the current setup it is like listing 2-3 times to get it all in.
This is a tool to help with auctions not to impede them
Thanks
Roger

Hello Roger,
The replacement for Sales Manager Pro will not simply be an old version of an Andale tool.
Using that tool now will not really provide any insight into what the offline replacement will be, outside of certain additions like inventory and post sale management. (aka adding features, not taking them away.)
