I used the international site visibility upgrade in some of my auctions many months ago
I decided it was not useful and went into my account and unchecked it in my ebay site settings.
I have noticed that on some of my auctions it is being checked and I am being charged for it and I can not stop it.
as I said it is unchecked in Vendios ebay site settings and I can not find anywhere else to fix it--my global preferences are set correctly and my ebay account does not have any place for me to change anything.
I do not want to be charged for internationsal site visibility against my wishes.
as well I have my feedback settings in vendio set to automatically leave feedback for all paid items and I specifically have the combined items checked however vendio NEVER leaves feedback for buyers who make multiple purchases. I have asked about this on and off for over a year!
these are the customers that should be getting feedback imediately and I have to go in and do it maunually.
please fix this setting as well as the internationsl site visibility.
thank you

Hello,

Indeed the international site visibility option is disabled in your default settings, however note that this is just the default setting for when you create a new listing frmo scratch.

Any listings where you had this enabled previously will continue to have this enabled on them unless they are edited to have it removed prior to listing or relisting.

If you have saved batches that you use for templates or just saved batches of items that you relist from time to time, you will need to edit the stored details on those to remove any features you no longer want to use.

For the combined feedback issue, if you have any samples we can use to test with we would be happy to dig into it further for you.

Chris

hi
each listing I create out of inventory manager in Vendio
I have templates and profiles that I use and there is no place to either check or uncheck international visibility within these templates, profiles, listings or batches. but some of my listings come through with them none the less and I am being charged.
I also find no place in my ebay settings on the ebay site to turn this on or off.
I will give you some items with no feedback shortly but I am not sure how you want them? I have tried this before with no result and I really do not want to wait to leave my customers feedback
thanks

Hello,

This is the Sales Manager Pro forum, which is why I was making references to batches/etc.

Do you list from the online Sales Manager instead, with items you have setup in inventory as Profile Items?
(where you click to create a new listing from scratch on the Sales Manager page, then click to apply one of these profiles to fill in the blanks? - if not, please describe the process you use to create these items.)

For the feedback issue, order numbers or item numbers work best to identify the effected item/s.

Chris

I don't currently have any multiple buy transactions paid--I went through and left manual feedback yesterday
do you want item numbers when payments come in? or titles?

Hello,

Item numbers for effected items that are marked as paid but without feedback left would be fine.

Is the issue really with marking the items as paid and not with sending the feedback, or are they being marked as paid automatically?

When you have a chance let us know the above details about the international upgrade issue so we can check into this for you further knowing the actual process you used to create the effected items.

Chris

re: international charges

I use the offline sales manager pro
I create batches offline using vendio templates in inventory manager
each item is similar but completely individually created through inventtory listings using profiles and then uploaded via a synch

I don't create listings by copying pre existing listings online.

the only thing I really use the online version for is to relist unsold auctions into my ebay store theough control panel.

if you look in my pending items in the control panel I have quite a few relists scheduled
I randomely chose this listing:

Vtg 50s Yellow Mod Floral Cotton Culotte Jumper Dress

look at it ( I made a copy so it is at top of page) and you will see that it has int site visibility checked and this will cause it to charge me 40 cents on top of all other fees
almosty all my vintage items have this checked and I specifically do not subscribe to it.

there is no way to even see it until the item has ended without a sale so I can see it in my control panel ( this is after listing up to 2 times with the international fee which would be 80 cents)

there is no where in my templates or vendio settings or ebay settings to either turn it on or off

Hello,

1. Automatic feedback based on items being marked as paid.

The problem here is that your not using Vendio for the checkout, because in this case you received a payment for a combined order and in your Vendio account these are single item transactions. The system is unable to mark these single items as paid when you received a combined payment for them via the eBay/PayPal checkout flow.

It isn't that the feedback isn't being sent, the issue is that the items are unable to be marked as paid properly which makes it where the feedback isn't sent (since the criteria is for them to be sending feedback upon payment.)

2. International Site Visibility.

This is what we were talking about initially. You need to check the templates your using in your Sales Manager Pro batch. Since you are listing off of an item with set details, it doesn't matter what your preferences are set as since you aren't creating a brand new item from scratch (which is the only time your preferences would come into play.)

You will need to edit your template items to remove this international site visibility option so the listings you create via those items no longer have that feature enabled either.

If your unsure about this, you can email me a copy of one of the batches you use as templates for listing new items.

listen
i don't know how many times I can repeat the same information to you
there is no place in Vendio to check or uncheck international site visibility
there is no place in inventory manager to check or uncheck international site visibility
there is no place in Vendio templates to check or uncheck international site visibility
there is no place in Vendio profiles to check or uncheck international site visibility
there is no place in Ebay to check or uncheck international site visibility

where is this magical place you want me to uncheck international site visibility?

I do not use batch as template--I don't even know what that means? a batch is a group of item listings.

each individual item listing is created from scratch with a visual template from vendio sales manager pro chosen and a profile from the inventory manager
these templates and profiles have certain basic settings pre chosen ( like store category, some listing text, shipping prices, terms ) but do not have anything with international site visibility to check or uncheck.

Hello,

To create a listing you do the following:

1. Open Sales Manager Pro
2. Click the 'New Listing' button in the new Batch window
3. Use the 'Profile' drop down menu at the bottom of your new batch listing to apply one of the default settings/profiles you have saved here
4. Click OK when finished
5. Synch/Upload the batch

When you talked about using an inventory profile, you just mean that profile button at the bottom of the new batch window correct?

Like this?

no thats not how I do it
this is more complicated than I could have imagined?

I open inventory manager on the left are many folders with listings like cashmere turtle neck sweater
cashmere V neck sweater
cashmere cardiagan sweater and so on

I chose one and open it in a new batch
it has all fields filled in with spaces for measurements in the description field where I add particular details for that garment and make changes to the tirle for instance adding a color word or designer name

I may make adjustments to the price
then I save into the batch and do the next garment until I have about 40 and then I synch/upload.

no where is there a place to add or take away international site visibility that I can find

CAN YOU?????

Hello,

Were just trying to sort out the terminology your using to describe the process you use to list your items Vs how it's being done.

My apologies for the confusion about the profile. When you said profile I thought you meant the option called 'Profile' and not that you simply take an item from your Sales Manager Pro inventory and drag/drop it into a batch in order to create your new listing.

Do you have any examples we can use to test with that are showing this feature enabled?

If you can also run a few tests that would be great, as I don't believe we could replicate it from here currently.
1. Use whatever you normal method is to create a new item, then upload it as an unscheduled item (call it test item 1) by switching it from launch now/later to 'do not schedule' prior to upload.

2. Open your inventory, click to edit one of these inventory 'profiles' of yours, save the changes (even if you don't make any changes) and do the same, upload it as an unscheduled item (call it test item 2) and let me know when these two items are synched to your account online.

Chris

I have a full day of work to day so hopefully I can figure out your instructions later this evening and let you know
i do not understand why you can't get someone in a position to do so to just TURN OFF international charges in my account
and then you should reimburse me for this option I have clearly not chosen to use.
have you asked the tech people or a manager to get this out of my account?
jdb

ps in the mean time
I don't understand why feedback is not left for multi purchases
your explanation doesn't make any sense
I don't use vendio checkout for anything ever.

so why would it choose to leave feedback for single purchases for which I do not use vendio checkout and not multi?
the thing is, I pay a lot of money for a lot of years to Vendio and this month they basically doubled my fees ( throught the GTC triple listing)so I expect things to work now
OK?

Hello,

Once we can figure out what your doing when you create your listings, we can help you figure out how your still getting this international option enabled when you list your items. If you would like, just send some examples of the error (item number where you didn't want this feature enabled and it was) and we'll simply log a bug with the engineering team and see what they can find without any additional input. It would however be extremely useful to know the results of the two processes mentioned above, those being:

1. If you use your saved inventory item as a template for listing your new batch item and upload it unscheduled to your account - is the option enabled?

and

2. If you edit and save your saved inventory item first, then use it as a template for listing your new batch item and upload it unscheduled to your account - is the option enabled?

----------------

Feedback:

Your requirement for sending feedback automatically is that the item is marked as paid. Knowing this we know that unless the item is marked as paid, the feedback system does not even come into play. After checking over your items we know that the problem items are not being marked as paid, so the feedback system has not yet come into the scenario.

The real issue is marking items as paid so that then the feedback system can do what its supposed to. The problem is that since you do not use Vendio for checkout you are getting combined payments for multiple items as part of an order where Vendio does not have these items listed as an order. Since your getting one notice for a bulk payment made for a combined order and we do not have these items in an order, they are not marked as paid. The only solution to this currently is to manually mark these items as paid so the feedback system can do what its supposed to. OR to use Vendio checkout so when these items are combined into orders and you get the PayPal payment confirmation for those items as an order - it can then mark them as paid automatically and thus the feedback system can do as it is supposed to.

Again the feedback issue is due to the items not being marked as paid and getting the items marked as paid is what would need to be addressed in order for the feedback system to do what it's setup for.

Chris

Hello,

I finished doing some tests (as described above, you don't have to bother with that anymore)and the *only* place you need to disable it is where you already have - from your eBay Site Specifics page found via the My Account page.

Note however that any listing you used this on previously will still have it enabled when you go to relist them from your closed section in Vendio.

The only way to remove it from a listing where you had it enabled when you first launched it - when relisting online from the sales manager, is to click to relist it, then to edit it prior to relist so you can uncheck any features that you had setup originally when it was submitted (like the international site visibility option.)

Previously you said you do not re-list out of your saved batches. If so you don't need to worry about this last part, but if you *did* re-upload batches that you had saved from back when you were using the international site visibility option - you would need to open the items and re-apply the 'profile' using that drop down menu like shown in the picture above so that it forgets that option the next time you upload the item/s.

Chris

I don't understand

if I have it unchecked in my sote specifics why are my auctions being listed with this option
there is no place in the profiles that I can check or uncheck it for the umpteenth time!

what do you mean reaply profile?
can you please tell me in plain step by step english what I have to do to stop being charged an extra 40 cents ( and I have about 500 items that auto relist every 30 days!) for a feature i do not willingly apply?

are you telling me that becouse I tried it out once I have to scrap my entire inventory manager and start again from scratch????!!!!

Hello,

Sorry for any confusion. Ill try and spell it it out a bit more clearly.

Here are the scenario's where you DON'T have to worry about it happening again:

1. Creating brand new listings from scratch - no problems.

2. Creating brand new listings using items you have in SMPRO inventory - no problems.

If the only way you submit new listings is the above two methods - your done, no new listings will have the option.

IF, and ONLY IF, you create listings used older saved batches that had this option on them before - (if you don't use old saved batches you can ignore this completely) - you would then need to open them and click to apply the profile at the bottom of the listing.

IF, and ONLY IF, you re-list an item that had this option on it before - you will need to edit it prior to relisting to remove that option. Click to relist, then to edit so you can uncheck this option, before you submit it.

Chris

hi
I'm sorry but this still does not make sense
I have listings every week that still include this international site extra charge
have you adjusted something in my account to turn it off yesterday?

if so why was it turned on? and when can I expect a reimbursement?

if you think that just by listing as I allways do ( and it seems clear to me that you do not understand how I list which is weird becouse I have been using sales manager pro for many years and perhaps you are not familiar with the program?)that the international site charge will not be applied I think you are wrong. it seems to get charged for things I list in vintage categories and I'm not sure what others for no apparant reason.

can you confirm?
thanks

Hello,

What part of the items I listed above doesn't make sense to you?

Did I not describe how you create your listings accurately?

Nothing has been done to your account. The option is turned off in your default settings. Outside of the scenario's described in detail above, there are no other considerations you need to take.

If there is a specific scenario listed above that your not clear on, please reference that specific one in your reply so we can clarify it for you further.
