Paypaldamon,
Please paypal damon unfreeze my paypal acct. with a balance of over $10,000 of which came from me directly transferring funds from my Washington Mutual Bank acct. At this point i am begging you!! I have done nothing wrong to anyone and i contacted all of my handful of people i purchased things from. I have never even sold anything! I transferred the majority of my life savings to paypal because i trusted them. I thought it was better for me because interest at a bank is insignifigant and this way i could have my money available online to me for ebay and the like. I thought paypal would be glad i did this because then they can make interest off the money. My acct is restricted and it takes no more than one single look at my acct. to see there is no "suspicious activity" whatsoever!! I have sent the fax with the requested latest bank statement etc. Nobody will even answer my emails and i have no phone # to call. I am supposed to send my mother some funds for a situation that has developed with her and i am unable to do anything. Please paypal Damon PLEASE , i am begging you, please release the restriction or tell me why it has occurred or how much money is at question. Why my life savings of $10,000 was frozen on Feb 8th? What have i done to you? Please , i beg you to help me here, i can not do anything , i am now so scared that you have decided to take my money because i am not capable of doing much about it. Please , Please , Please. I know you respond to people so you must want to help and see the right thing done. Please ask me for anything and i will do it. But please unrestrict my acct.

If I was you I would first contact a lawyer, second call the better business office in silicon valley, and third contact the media about this. This happens all the time and you are not alone. I wish you the best of luck. Gosh I wish someone would do something to stop this.

In all honesty, I like Paypal, but I would never in a millions years trust that kind of money to anyone who is not FDIC insured.

Hi,
I transferred the money into paypal because i was a true believer in ecommerce and thought paypal represented the future. I thought paypal was insured also , and i did not quantify the FDIC issue until now. As to learning my lesson , well i guess i am, i just dont understand why paypaldamon is doing this to me? I am a good customer. I have done nothing wrong or suspicious just like the others who this happens to? Paypaldamon please i ask you to help me.

sniff:::: sniff:::: Well now that you mention it.
I can understand using PayPal to transfer large sums between banks, I've done that myself. I can understand leaving a reasonable balance in PayPal I also do that myself. I can't understand a sum of $10,000 being moved to PayPal just to leave it there. There are many other ways to get better interest rates than PayPal's money market for such amounts.
Basically it doesn't make any sense any way I look at it.

I agree with you Chum
Contacting a lawyer is definitely in order here.
It would also seem to me that Damon should answer this poster and try to help....
or at least look into it.(troll or no troll)
If this is truly happening it could get pretty ugly for PayPal.THis isn't one or two hundred dollars we are talking about here.

Hi,
I am not sure why you are calling me a troll or even what that infers except that it is certainly an insult or a questioning of my account of the paypal events. Well i assure you and anyone else, I have the sum of $10,409 dollars in a restricted paypal acct with no explanation or reason whatsoever for the action. The money had been there for some time i transferred it over the course of a few months $2000 at a time. If my reasoning does not make financial sense to you i am sorry for that but i see the interest as negligible at best and i liked and believed in what i thought paypal represented. I referred it to many others. I have never sold anything with paypal, and have only bought a few items. None of which are unusual and i have verified this with the sellers. Even those transactions were many weeks before the restriction. I could go on and on about how nothing is out of the ordinary and how this action is unwarranted but i think the other posters have documented what is going on here pretty well. I am just asking paypaldamon to please help me because i have done nothing wrong and i feel i may be powerless to get my life savings back. I'm sorry if my event here causes you to think i am so stupid that i must be a "troll" , but i truly believed my money was safe.
