I recently had an Ebay memeber email me trying to get me to switch to a Ebay store. Their arguement was that it was only $8.95 as opposed to $12.95 for AW. I would like to say to that person that they need to look at the big picture. Heres what I see. Ebay is strictly Ebay...... my products are not seen by other auction sites. I usually post a couple auctions to Amazon. My logos for AW store have been very sucessful in Amazon. I have not sold any products through Amazon yet about 15% of my store customers find me through my Amazon listings. You can't get that from your Ebay store. I spend approx .50 per month on the Amazon listings and sell about $50 to their customers. That's my kinda math! Also I strongly beleive Ebay is a monopoly trying to control my biz decsions. That's not what I pay them for. I hate the checkout system where they pre sume to know what my WBN information is. It costs me money fron Paypal everytime someone uses it. I am a strong supporter of AW and consider my store a terrific way to sell. I feel strongly that is the responsible biz choice to make for all auction sellers. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AW TO ALL SELLERS>

What do you mean, it's $12.95? I thought it was free. I pay for the eBay store, for now..but to me, since I only have the standard AW, and i have a store, I thought I would only pay if I sold something. Can you show me where there is a cost for the AW store?

Thanks..I pay no monthly fee for the standard AW plan. I just pay for listing and when I sell. I asked on the eBay AW area what the advantage is to pay the $12.95..perhaps someone here can tell me, since no one there answered? I seem to have use of all the facilities..or at least the ones I need.

Hi DMRick,
The $12.95 plan is one of our Premium Plans, which give you access to Sale Manager Business Edition as well as unlimited image hosting. Your listing fee drops to 5 cents per auction, and your final value fee drops to 1% of the sale (still capped at $4.95). If you have any other questions, feel free to ask or you can review the pricing and payment structure at this URL:

RICK I WENT WITH PREMIUM BECAUSE I CAN POST 1000 TO 2000 IMAGES A MONTH. I ALSO LIKE THE EASE INVOLVED IN KEEPING TRACK OF WHO'S DONE WHAT AND THE REPORTS... EVERYTHING WORKS SO GOOD WITH THE PLAN THAT I RECOMMEND IT TO SIMPLIFY LIFE. I USED TO GET A LOT OF EMAILS RETURNED UNABLE TO DELIVER, I NO LONGER DO.

To mtakami2..........
Since you have AW Storefront success, can you tell us your secret....for those of us who do not get exposure through Yahoo? I don't believe people are seeing the little icon at the bottom of listings, and that seems to be the only way they can know about it, because eBay does not permit mentioning the AW Storefront anywhere in the listing.
Thanks,
Joette

I DO 2 THINGS TO GET THE WORD OUT. FIRST I HAVE A LINK TO MY STOREFRONT AS MY SIGNATURE ON MY EMAILS WITH A BLURB ABOUT THE STORE. I PUT IT AT THE BOTTOM OF ALL JOKES I FORWARD. THAT WAY EVEN IF SOMEONE CLEANS THE TOP OF ADDYS MY STORE IS ON BTM AND GOES TO EVERY PERSON THEY FORWARD AND SO ON AND SO FORTH. MY #1 MONEY MAKER IS MY CUSTOMER LIST. SINCE OCT OF LAST YEAR I HAVE HAD ALL WINNING BIDDERS GO TO MY CUSTOMER LIST. I NOW HAVE OVER 700 EMAIL ADDYS OF PROVEN CUSTOMERS. EVERY MONTH AW ALLOWS US TO EMAIL OUR CUSTOMERS (I THINK ITS 2 WEEKS) I SEND OUT A PROMO TO ALL THE CUSTOMERS... FREE FREIGHT ON $50 ORDERS, FREE BLOOMERS WITH DOLL DRESS PURCHASE, BUY 5 GET 1 FREE. THE FIRST 48 HRS AFTER MY MEMO GOES OUT I DO A HUGE BIZ. THIS MONTH I SOLD 150 DOLL DRESS IN 2 DAYS. I HAVE CLEARANCE SALES.... I HAVE NEVER HAD ANYONE COMPLAIN AND GET EMAILS ASKING WHEN I'M GONNA START THIS MONTHS PROMO. IT REALLY HELPS. GOOD LUCK

To mtakami2...........I don't know who you are, but you are terrific!
YOU ARE SO GENEROUS to share with us, and I hope many who are struggling with the Storefront challenge will benefit because of your tips. I never even thought of doing it in every single email. I sent to a grouping of 50 from the list once, and no results, but I'll get more creative and try again. I don't think I gave the correct link anyway. Tell me, since my ID is joettesantiques and my email is [email protected], what exactly would be the link to my storefront???
Many thanks,
Joette

BRING YOUR STOREFRONT UP ON YOUR COMP. HIGHLIGHT THE ADDRESS BAR. GO TO EDIT AND CLICK ON COPY. THIS "PICKS UP" YOUR STOREFRONT LINK. YOU THEN GO WHERE EVER YOU WANT IT PLACED CLICK SO THAT YOU HAVE THE FLASHING BAR GO TO EDIT AGAIN AND CLICK COPY. THIS WILL DROP YOUR LINK INTO PLACE. IT WORKS ON EMAILS AND USED TO BE HOW I SENT PEOPLE B4 EBAY BANNED IT. ITS ONE CLICK AND THEY ARE IN YOUR STORE. ANOTHER THING, OH WELL I'LL EMAIL YOU INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GET YOUR STORE TO COME UP FOR AW SEARCHES. IF YOUR KEY WORDS ARE NOT IN SPECIFIC PLACE YOUR STORE WONT COME UP IN A SEARCH... I'LL SEND EMAIL/. MELODY

OK - I'm interested - how do I figure out the e-mail thing to my customers? AND I love the idea of making my storefront URL part of my signature! That is brilliance.

IT'S VERY EASY. TO EMAIL YOUR CUSTOMERS GO TO YOUR CUSTOMER FILE, CLICK TO BRING THEM ALL UP, CLICK AT TOP THAT YOU WANT TO EMAIL THEM AND OLE YOUR IN BIZ! IT HAS A DISCLAIMER ON BTM THAT IF THEY DONT WANT TO REC EMAIL FROM YOU THEY CAN BE REMOVED SO YOUR COVERED THERE. I ALWAYS MAKE IT CHATTY AND FRIENDLY..... IN MY WBN I MENTION THAT I WILL KEEP THEM POSTED ON SALES AND BARGINS SO THEY KNOW OTS COMING. THE BEST THING I CAN TELL YOU IS TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING UP AND READY FOR THEM. DONT SEND THE EMAIL NAD THEN TRY TO PUT STUFF UP. HAVE THERE FOR WHEN THEY GO IN. I ALSO LIST A COUPLE OF ITEMS IN AMAZON. I NEVER SELL ANYTHING IT'S ALWAYS LESS THEN A DOLLAR A MONTH BUT THEY ARE NOT BANNER SHY ABOUT AW STORES I GET A LOT OF AMAZON BUYERS IN MY STORE.

"OTHER DETAILS" IS WHERE YOU NEED TO PUT YOUR KEY SEARCH WORDS TO GET THE AW SEARCHES TO YOUR STORE. I HAD IN THE ABOUT ME AND NEVER COULD FIND MY STORE IN SEARCHES. NOW ITS IN THE FIRST 5 STORES THAT COME UP WITH MY KEY WORDS.

I ALMOST FORGOT. PUT YOUR STORELINK IN THE EMAIL TO THE CUSTOMER. THAT WAY THEY CAN CLICK IN FROM THE EMAIL YOU SENT...... OTHERWISE THEY WONT HAVE A CLUE ON HOW TO FIND YOU. DO THE COPY AND PASTE AS DESCRIBED ABOVE RIGHT INTO THE EMAIL. WITH A NOTE TO CLICK HERE FOR A GOOD DEAL!
