I prefer to post items via pro, but then it does not seem to become part of my online inventory.
I understand I can move those items, but I want to make sure that it 'moves' them, and doesn't copy them and that I don't end up with double the items.
Please outline if 1) they are really NOT going to inventory by folder
2) how can i keep all this inventory managed online?

Hi Agreatkatch,
Unfortunately online and offline inventory do not synchronize. If you have the option checked in the listing to save your item in inventory, when you upload, a copy will be saved to your inventory with quantity of one. Once they are uploaded to inventory you can edit as you like.

Question for Sonya? ... but if we click on 1 for inventory to save a copy to there [inventory], does it not list it right into the storefront too (as if we are auctioning 1 plus sell 1 at storefront?} .... I think the best way for us to be able to "relist" unsold auction items INTO the storefront AFTER a no-bids auction, would be that it could be implemented that if we put a 1 into save item to inventory, WHILE we are creating the auction ad, then if it's unsold after the auction, we could launch it to the storefront from Inventory after the auction ends ... ... ... sorry, i'm just bringing this subject up because it is important to me ... i still have not found an easy way to do up an auction listing, have it end 'unsold', then put it to the Storefront with "ease" ... i ain't found the "ease" yet .... any insight? .... i DO love auctionwatch and you people that choose to help us sellers ..... thanks in advance ... marcia .....

Hi Marcia,
If you select to save your item to inventory it does not place it automatically into your store. What will be there in the inventory listing is the Basic information from the auction. If you wanted to put that item into your storefront, then you would fill out the Storefront Information tab (that's underneath the Basic Information tab) and increase quantity available from 0 to 1. Basically for ease of storefront listing after an item doesn't sell, you should check this option.
If you selected the option right above that, which is to also sell it in your storefront as a fixed price item, that would make it appear you have two of the item -- one at auction and one for sale. That is the one that I think you are talking about, which you should not check.

Ok Sonya ... I list online ... so, i think you are saying that if i click JUST the 'save item to inventory' when creating an auction, that item's 'write-up' will be in inventory after the auction ends with no bids ....
also, am i correct in assuming that if the auction ended WITH a successful bid, then the item would leave my inventory? yes? ... Marcia .... ps. you and i are making real progess here ... i'm gonna leave you alone after this LOL

Hi Marcia,
You are correct on the first one. On the second one though, when the auction ends, it will not drop off your inventory. It will remain there unless you decide to delete it, it will just have a 0 for quantity available since it sold. However, you can manually increase the quantity available through editing your inventory listing. If you need more clarification just let me know!
