I have same request - there must be a complete listing of acceptable categories to choose from.
The problem is especially tough when listing a Fixed price item in storefront only - no auction involved.
This is only major complaint with system - but it is a big one. My customers will be lost and then leave without buying a thing. Until catagories are either expanded (and listing made available) or put under the control of the storefront owner many sellers will be restricted in using the service.

I concur...there are so many duplicate listings for something as simple as tools or beverage. I would like access to a list and also have the ability to change and re-arrange the categories in my store. It looks terrible.
Unfortunately I do not have a list, but I will see if one can be generated. For now, you can review what is in every category by going through each of the top categories and seeing the sub categories.

I have done that to some degree but I'm sure somewhere there is a flowchart which would save many hours of experimenting.
