So confused...maybe someone can help...when I create items for storefront...it asks for shipping preferences...I put priority mail and then it wants a price...I don't know this ahead of time (new zones)...so I put in the lb of item and 0.00 for price...I assumed then when someone buys items from my store...AW would calculate based on total pounds of items...someone bought 3 items this morning and no shipping was calculated...their invoice just read priority shipping $0.00...thankfully they understood that shipping was extra (3lbs) and allowed me to add the pounds and look up the rates (which is fine, don't mind at all) but am I missing something?
I was under the impression that Calculated shipping was going to solve the priority shipping (because of the new zones) dilema or is this service only available with auctions? When I create storefront items I did notice that priority mail (calculated) wasn't even an option? How do I get around this so my shipping doesn't look free (I obviously have shipping as extra in descriptions but there must be an easier way!!)...why do I have to choose a shipping option or is there a way to bypass this all together and just wait until someone emails me and wants to buy something.
I'm just afraid someone will purchase something...send payment...on there own (I do all the time) via paypal and then forget the shipping which will cost me an additional paypal transaction fee later.
Just curious if anyone else has this problem or am I missing something??
There is a problem with saving USPS Priority calculated as a shipping preference in the storefront wizard. I have passed the problem on to engineering and let you know when it has been resolved.
I'm so relieved...that it's not me!! I thought maybe I was losing my mind (totally missing something)...I've literally spent most of my day reading and re-reading directions...couldn't figure out where I was going wrong!! Thanks for the quick response...and now that I know this message board is here...I won't have to waste my whole day again!!
