I operate strictly from batches. Each of 300 items have their own batch. I seldom go to inventory. Therefore a lot of inventory information is outdated which also means that store information is old.
I can't keep operating from batches if I want to take advantage of the promotion of 4 items new feature.
Rather than individually alter each item in inventory to bring up to date, how about if I deleted every item in the store and relaunched the batches with the "save to storefront" checked. Do I have to actually launch to get the new item into the storefront?
I assume that when an item is sold at auction, the four items the buyer is shown as suggested other "buys" are pre-determinated fixed items in the store and not four other auctions.
Deleting everything would probably work. Just make sure you have the backups all setup in Pro because you won't be able to get the deleted information back. And yes you are correct -- the cross sell items can only be fixed price items and not auctions.
