Another couple things that I would like to mention that could use fixing.

1) The grammar in the checkout area. I believe it says " it only take a couple minutes ..." where requesting the customer fill out the form. It should read either "It will only take a couple minutes" or "It only takes a couple minutes." Also It would be nice if that notification would neatly list all items purchased instead of lumping them all together in a long string of test. I realize these are small problems but overall they would improve the professional look of these forms/notifications.

2) The tax information. When customers fill out the WBN form they often either ignore the tax information or put the wrong amount in due to the hard to see decimal point. I think the tax info on our "About" page should be automatically inserted to the WBN form so customers can see this info at the time of Checkout.

ie.

I sell in Canada and G.S.T. is 7%. Therefore I state under the taxes section that Canadian customers must add 7.00%. I have had customers calculate their total using .07% in confusion but if the notice of 7.00% from my "About" page were pasted on the Checkout form , it should help eliminate this problem. A larger decimal point would also help.

This issue with the taxes seems to be that it doesn't seem to show up when the buyer uses the checkout for an auction item. When I receive the information and I go to view the buyer checkout, there is no sign of the taxes anywhere and the customer is not paying them. This does not seem to be a problem with store purchases however.

Thanks again

Hi Vianett,

I will pass on your suggestions to product development.

Regarding tax -- in post sale management options where you specify if you are going to charge sales tax you should see a blank field there. That is meant for tax insturctions. You should use that to tell your winners what to put on the tax wheel. Post sale management options is also the area where you can edit your WBN email and welcome message -- you can insert your tax information there too, so that your winners are fully aware of it.

I hope this helps!

Regards,

Sonya

Thanks Sonya. This did help. Turns out the info is all there. It just seems to be a case of customers choosing to ignore paying the taxes. It would be helpful if, when reviewing the buyer checkout, the tax information was shown.

Thanks

I also find that most customers don't follow the instructions for sales tax. I "clearly" state that if they are shipping to FLORIDA to "enter 06.00 in the wheel and NOT 00.06 <--WRONG!!" and it still doesn't help.

The still enter 00.06 instead of 06.00 I even had one lady from Arizona enter 20.00 percent. I don't understand why customers are so confused about the tax wheel, but they are.

As for me, I would rather have a default question: "Are you shipping to Florida?" and if they answer yes have it automatically use 06.00 percent... better yet, I would like to be able to set it to automatically figure 6 percent when they enter FL as the state when filling out their ship-to address.

This way I wouldn't have to deal with customers who don't feel they should pay sales tax.
