My Checkout Process Welcome Message is not working. I have edited and saved numerous times. However, if I go to my store and add something to my shopping cart, I get a message I deleted a couple days ago.

Why is the store not pulling in the accurate statement? Will my WBN checkout links also be wrong?

Hi agapecrafts,

So I can test this for you, where are you editing the message, and what is the incorrect message that is appearing?

I am editing the message in my accounts, post sale mgt options.

The incorrect message is:

Please complete the following steps to finalize this transaction. It only take a couple of minutes. As soon as everything is completed, I will ship off SESAME STREET * Elmo's New Laugh * Read Along. If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected].

You will notice in my settings the message is about the same. I want to remove the note about shipping off their item. I have removed this from my settings, but the checkout is still bringing this information if from someplace. It is not reading the new information.

Hello,

If you edited it after the item went to closed you would have to edit the actual WBN -- to do this, uncheck step 1 and then click the edit icon for that step. You can change the checkout message there.

Sonya

Hi Sonya,
I edit the settings in my account and then go to my store. I put some items in the cart and go to
checkout. I then get the wrong information there. It is NOT pulling in my
changes. Why?

I have not tested a WBN for an auction, but I'm assuming it will also pull
in the wrong information.

Hello,

I am confused -- I am not sure where exactly you are seeing this message in your store. If you can put a sample item in there and I'll go through the buy process -- just let me know what part of the checkout is wrong.

Regards,

Sonya

Sonya,
I don't need sample items - my store is stocked. Put an item in the cart, then click checkout. You will be taken to the screen with the wrong information. That screen is not pulling in my change.

Hello,

I am on the Checkout billing and shipping information page. I think the confusion is that the store buy now items do not reflect the WBN welcome and email message -- those are only supposed to show up when you have someone win an auction from you and they get a WBN.

Sonya

Then please tell me how I edit the message on the store checkout page.

That is how my message was typed in on my account, post manangment setup. I revised the setup to remove the sentence about shipping. However, the checkout in the store still shows the sentence I removed.

How then do I revise this message separate from my post managment settings? I know this is not the default sentence because I wrote this in months ago. Now that I change it, the checkout is not picking up on the revison.

Hello,

Could you copy and paste the message here? I'm not sure that I am looking what you are looking at because the message I see is the one that is automatically inserted by us, above the biller information.

Sonya

Hi,
Thanks for your patience.

This is the following message. You message might be a little different depending on which item you put in the shopping cart.

It is the sentence about shipping the item (with the item called out) that I removed from my settings. However, the first page of the checkout is still supplying the following: (Which I originally entered in my accounts, post mngt settings)

Please complete the following steps to finalize this transaction. It only take a couple of minutes. As soon as everything is completed, I will ship off SESAME STREET * Elmo's New Laugh * Read Along. If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected].

This sentence,

As soon as everything is completed, I will ship off SESAME STREET * Elmo's New Laugh * Read Along.

is what I removed from my settings box in my accounts (I used the string that pulls in the items actually selected, my test used the sesame street book). However, you will note it is still being used. It has been quite some time since I removed this sentence, so it can't be that the system needs to update or refresh.

Thanks,
agapecrafts
