In the process of setting up my store, I am coming across some issues that I hope can be addressed in a future upgrade.
Beginner's Guide:
As someone else has mentioned there is no step-by-step guide to help new users know what to do next. For example, when I finished the store set-up wizard, it was like, okay, what next? As I was setting up an inventory page I realized there were no images to attach so I had to go back and upload those first. A step by step informational screen after the set-up wizard would have been helpful.
Pictures:
I've noticed that many of my pictures that show on the item detail screens (the one the buyer sees) look horrible. The resizing method you use makes them look very choppy (not in every case, but in most). Even worse is the picture that shows on the checkout screen. It is practically unrecognizable, just a bunch of scrambled pixels. The thumbnails actually look better than these pictures. Since most of my pictures are not that big to begin with, I'm not sure why they come out so bad.
Shipping Cost calculation:
There needs to be more shipping calculation alternatives and a way to combine shipping costs. I now have to go into the 50 items I just listed and remove the comment about shipping a limited number of additional items at no extra cost because there is no way for me to do that type of calculation since I don't know what combination of items they will purchase.
A couple of suggestions are shipping cost based on the order price total, and even more helpful to me, the ability to assign a different shipping cost per item which could be entered on the item inventory page. Or maybe even a customized weight calcuation based on data I enter for my items for First Class mail, not just Priority mail.
Offline store software:
Is there a software download that would let one update and revise their store listings offline then upload the changes? It would make things so much faster and easier. It takes numerous "click and waits" to get an item listed or to fix an error. I can't imagine what it must be like for people with thousands of items in their store. A tool like this might encourage more people to try the stores.

Well, I did some looking around and I think I answered myself on the last item...Sales Manager Pro will upload items to Stores. I couldn't find info on whether this is a free tool or not. I didn't see any pricing but I also didn't see where it said free.
