Hi,
I'm just starting to set up my store. At check-out, I see that the customer will be able to change the quantity of the item they want. Going through the check-out process to see how this would work, I was able to change the quantity to 3 even though I had put it in the store with only a quantity of 2. How does this work? Will this be prevented once the customer fills out the form and went to confirm the order? Don't you think that the customer should be told that the quantity they want is not available as soon as the try to change the quantity?
I'm new to this so maybe I'm missing something. Also what does that 'store banner' look like, and Ebay is okay with it?
Wanted to let you know also I'm very excited about the Froogle search engine - good job!
Thanks for any help.

Hi Gottaluve,

If the customer tries to checkout with a higher quantity than what you have set for that item, they will get an error message telling them that that quantity is not available. They won't be allowed to checkout with an invalid quantity.

Here is what the banner looks like, that gets inserted in your auctions:

Our Stores are within eBay regulations because of the "2-click" rule. No link on eBay can link with 1-click directly to competing items. We have worked with eBay to solve this issue by making the banner on eBay link to your Store Home Page which contains ONLY eBay items. Buyers will have to click on a category, complete a search or click on the SHOP tab, to find your items listed on another venue or for sale at a fixed price (when that is launched). The sample items are 100% eBay items, only when buyers follow the link on your eBay auctions. If you go directly to the Store by typing in the URL, then the sample items can be from any venue (eBay, Amazon, Yahoo, or fixed-price.)

Regards,

Sonya
