Ok I just discovered something that has tottally got me pissed.
About 6 weeks ago I paid $50.00 to get my Storefront listed in all the major search engines and I am still basically not listed in any of them.
But thats not why Im pissed.OK last week I typed in my url into google just to see if I was listed and my url pops up for the first time ever but the listing that shows up in the search is the comments and questions I have posted here in the Auctionwatch community.
.....So,yea,Ok why the hell is it taking so long for my storefront to be listed in google etc.,but yet the comments and questions I add in here get listed almost right away?
Now watch Im going to type my url in the search engine again in 3 days,and what Im saying here will be listed.
So yea anybody who has posted here before go ahead and type your url in the search engine and I gaurantee you will see your comments listed.

Hello bigcitycollectables,
Have you inserted any keywords into your Store text? These should help with search-engine placement. Also, note that we are submitting a daily feed to Google for inclusion to Froogle - if you have fixed-price items your Store should be listed in this search.
Yes I have optimized my storefront to the fullest extent possible.I have added meta tags,title,and discription.I even loaded the discriptions of my items with keywords that way the crawler will list my pages and people will be able to find my items.I have submited my storefront to the google directory,and almost every other directory and payperclick listings possible to improve my rankings with the search engines.I also have linked my storefront to as many websites as I could.And yes even after all this I am still not listed.And oh yea I am also still not listed in the Google directory.And as for Yahoo!....Im not even going to go into that.
I have checked over 100 serach engines that I paid to get my storefront submited to and NONE of them have my url listed and I submited my url a really long time ago.
I dont know what the problem is but I have tried everything.

unbelieveable every comment I have ever made in this forum can be found by searching google for my user name. Quite a privacy policy AW why isn't this section of the site tagged to stop bots from crawling through the message content. Hasn't anyone ever heard of nobots?

Davebraun - What's privacy got to do with it? This is a public message forum. You don't have to be an AW user to post or read here.
The whole POINT of Google is to find answers to seraches. If someone searches for an auction-related keyword and gets directed here, what's the harm?
And "basic" Google works a lot faster than Froogle to index websites. Froogle is new, and doesn't have the zillions of websites already indexed that Google does.
