Ran across a dead link in my store. Searched Google and located an item that I had sold to a customer. (Customer found my store on Google and I hit number one spot on his search term).

GOOGLE SEARCH PHRASE:
"Diamond Tool" vintage ad

As expected, the message in my store appeared okay to inform the viewer, but the CONTACT US link embedded there is not working.

The message reads:

"Sorry! This item is currently unavailable. If you would like more information about this item, please contact us."

The link:

http://shop.vendio.com/retrobargains/item/574924870/contact.html

So... it's a dead link and I thought I should tell you about it.

P.S. - On that same SORRY page in my store, the CONTINUE SHOPPING link underneath the text sends the customer out of my store and back to Google search results. No way the customer can "continue shopping" that way.

Thanks,

Greg

Hi Greg,

If you have not done so already, you may want to contact Google about the link. They'll probably need to refresh the search where your item is concerned so that old, outdated pages don't continue to come up.

Sonya

Hi Sonya,

I think we missed the point here. Since I sell only one of each of the 1600 plus items I have, I would be emailing Google everyday - that's ridiculous.

Problem is not at Google. Problem is at Vendio and the links in Vendio's page embedded within my store.

The CONTACT US Link on the page is DEAD.
The CONTINUE SHOPPING Link is CLOSING the store - it's pointing wrong.

Regards,
Greg

Hi Greg,

Your initial post confused me but once you pointed the links out, I was able to see what you mean. I will file a bug on this on your behalf.

Sonya

Thanks Sonya,

Sorry my explanation was confusing - I see that my details actually smothered the issues I was trying to report. I get too "wordy" most of the time. <g>

Thanks!

Greg
