When I get a new order in, I create the listing, put everything that I want in it, put 1 up for auction and the other 30 in my store.
Of course, once I do this, my store has the exact same wording as my auction.
I don't want my store items to have links to "my other auctions" and "my eBay About Me" page.
Do I really need to create 2 listings (1 auction, 1 storefront) for everyone of my items?
Maybe there's a way to do this without editing each of my items? If I edit them for the store (no eBay links); then when I list one of the items on eBay, I will have to go back and edit it for auctions (insert auction related links)?

Hello,
Unfortunately, if you want alternate description text to appear when you list - the best way to set them up would in fact be to create a seperate item for each.
Otherwise, if the text is literally global and can be used on all of your auctions, just add it to the default listing text area instead. That is only added to the items you list to auction, not your Vendio storefront items.
That would be the perfect place to store your 'about me' and 'other items' links for ebay.
To edit your default text, go to My Account -> Custom Listing Text. Please be sure to click on the "Save Preferences" button on the bottom of the page after you have made the necessary changes.

Thanks for your response. I've just tried to add a link to my other auctions in the default listings text. Can I not add html in this box and make the link to my "about me" page clickable?

By the way, I listed the auction where I was adding my link (with html)to the text box. All it managed to do was take out all reference to ANY of the custom text boxes that I had set up.

Hello,
Sorry for the confusion. Those custom text fields you are using in the lower half of that page are setup to display in the new style templates only. Just select any one of the templates without an asterisk beside it, and you will be able to launch using those default fields.
Otherwise, just move your text up into the one at the top of the page, labeled 'default listing text' as that will appear in all items you list from the change forward, regardless of template selected.

Can html be used in the custom boxes? Using html in the top custom box seems to have wiped out all of my custom boxes when listing an item.

Hello,
You can use HTML in them. If some of your information is missing it could be due to the HTML tags you are using -- doublecheck them and make sure that the HTML you use there is correct.
Do you have any listings right now that are coming out wrong, due to the HTML you used?
