I'm new to Vendio but have a few questions. I want to be able to accept credit cards but I'm not going to use VeriSign since it's way too expensive for what we are looking for. I want Vendio to collect the credit card info, but then allow me to decide how to process it. I don't want people to have to call me or fax me their cc info - I think that would drive buyers away from the site. I also don't want buyers to use the "Message to Buyer" section to enter their info since that is just sketchy. Is this in the works? There are a few other sites that will do this for me, but I wanted to see if there's a way we can get Vendio to do it.
The checkout is secure so if they used Message to Seller it would be a secure transfer. Unfortunately that is the only alternative that would work, with what you describe. The only other option is to tell people in the text box proviced for direct offline processing is to email you regarding credit card sale -- however I do not think you want people emailing their credit cards to you.

Hello Greg,
You can easily use CCnow(www.ccnow.com) or even checkout(www.checkout.com) where you can join one of them.I usuually use CCnow Over 2 years. They are great but they charge you around 9-11% of the total Order.Anyhow you can put this Fees in Considerations when you value the items.Ok.All you must to do join and them and can make"Buy it now" button from them and paste it beside each item listed in your store.Anyhow let me know if you need anything.

I also would like to see a place where customers can put in their Credit Card information.
Verisign is too expensive and putting a Add to Cart button from CC now will confuse the buyers as there will be 2 Add to cart buttons. One from Vendio and another from CC Now.
I have had a lot of my customers complaining about using paypal and would want to discontinue using that. Its good to use on eBay but not here.
Vendio please respond to this post and let us know if there are any plans to let us collect the CC info. If yes when?
We shouldnt be given only one option. Most of us a pretty small businesses which cannot afford verisign.

VeriSign is expensive but once I got it my sales really did get larger. And, with the cc option, I lose less sales in my store. Overall, it has been worth it to me. And, has been mentioned, I just up'd my prices a little and covered the fees quickly.
Before that I used Propay which will send the customer an email to follow a link and collect the data.
