My shipping fees are determined by the order amount. How do my customers add the correct shipping (and taxes when applicable) to the invoice BEFORE confirming the order so that the invoice shows the correct total? Thanks for your help.

Hello,

The storefronts have fixed price shipping options specific to the item in question. You could setup shipping discounts for additional items, but there is nothing in place for the buyer to enter their own shipping amounts into the checkout fields at this time unfortunately.

If and when do you anticipate that the customer will be able to input their own shipping charges?

It makes it difficult to inform a customer of a shipping cost when we did not know the location that the order is being shipped too when posting the listing. Shipping prices are different for all different regions. The seller is going to take a major hit on profit if shipping cost is not calculated based on the customer's zip code at the time of the order.

When you choose the calculate shipping option shouldn't it get shipping charges based on weight?

I don't see this when I do a test order. I see no shipping calculated. This doesn't make sense for a company that has a reseller relationship with stamps.com and these shipping calculators are easily added into most shopping carts. I’m running a trial now and I have to say that there are a lot of bugs you guys need to work out. That is, unless I’m missing something and if that’s the case you need better documentation.

Hello,

If you endable USPS Priority Calculated as a default in Global Preferences and enter in your correct zip code, you can set up your items with calculated shipping. It calculates the shipping based on weight and shipping dimensions you enter for a package alongside the buyer's address information.

If you continue to have trouble let me know what item is your test item.

Sonya

Great I'll check that out.

Now tell me another thing...

Why can't I use my own merchant account with my store cart? It givs the option to use Pay Pal or signup with Verisign. I don't want to buy another merchant account.

The other option that would be good is to allow the customer to put the billing and credit card information in, we retrive it via the manager and process it offline manually. At least we can use our own merchant account.

I have emailed support since yesterday. I really really like the whole suite of products you have here and would consider using them all but there are a few things that need to be ironed out and using ones own merchant account is definately one of them. Otherwise I'll need another solution.

Sorry that doesn't work. My zip is correct and i've done all of the above. Maybe a bug in your new system. Please check my store. This item must work.

Hi Tamstrees,

You are right, it's not working for your store as the option is currently not available in inventory (where store items are originated from). I have logged a bug on this. For now, you will need to set your shipping at a flat rate for your customers for Vendio Stores.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Sonya

Sonja,

Thank you again for your attention and for checking. This is a major bug since it states that it is a feature. How long before it's fixed?

Until Vendio can fix shipping and offer a solution to process cards via our own merchant account (through a secure gateway or where we can retrieve and manually process) then I doubt I'll be adding products and using the cart exclusively.

Thanks,
Tamara

Hello,

We have triggered a fix for your account so you should be able to go into inventory and select USPS Priority calculated for new items. For the ones currently active in your Vendio Store, simply go to inventory and edit them, and choose the USPS Priority option.

Thank you for your patience.

Regards,

Sonya
