I use SMPro to do my eBay auctions and eBay store listings. From what I recall, there used to be an option somewhere (I believe it was in our Global Preferences or somewhere like that) that could be checked to also add the item to inventory.

I have a Vendio store, and until now have only used it as a gallery. I now want to add some items to my store, and there is nothing in my inventory. I had checked the option listed above to add everything to inventory some time ago so my merchandise would be there when I was ready to stock my Vendio store.

Am I missing something? What is the easiest way to copy from eBay listings to add to Vendio store? Is there a way to import inventory from SMPro?

Also, can custom templates be used in Vendio stores?

Thank you for your help

Hello,

Unfortunately, online and offline inventory do not synchronize. To save an auction item to your online inventory, first create an inventory item in Sales Manager Pro. As you list your auctions from the inventory item, simply create a separate item to send to your Store. It is not necessary to enter a quantity available for Store items - you can upload an item with zero available in the Store and use the resulting inventory item as an auction item when you are ready to list.

Custom templates can only be used for auction items -- they are not available for Vendio store items.

Regards,

Sonya

Does HTML work in store listings?

So you mean I have to create new listings and there is absolutely NO way to copy auctions, closed, archived, or other, to a Vendio store/inventory?

If this is the case, why do the fees continue to go up and the level of service and user-friendliness of Vendio continue to go down?

WGM:
One work around that I use is to go to my Closed Auctions (or to Unsold in Post Sale).
Relist all auctions you want to go into your inventory.
Edit each one (yes, I know!!) by clicking the bottom area which asks if you want to save a copy to inventory OR if you want to sell a similar item. Then Save.
AFter you are done, just cancel the relist.
All of those will be in your inventory in the UNFILED folder.

Now, if you are using Sales Mgr Pro. I find that if I create an ebay item, drag it to inventory and then try to create a store item from the inventory, it will not let me price it higher than the ebay item. Weird.

YOu are right, not very friendly.

Beth - thank you so much for your input! I will try your way tonight when auctions close - sounds much easier than the way Vendio expects us to do it.

My frustration with Vendio grows more and more, and quite frankly I am actively looking at other auction management programs. The customer service has gotten practically non-existent for us on the board; and I think it is ridiculous that we are expected to pay if we need quicker assistance.

Maybe I have the concept wrong about exactly what an auction management program should do for sellers. I think it should save as much time as possible so a seller can maximize her/his time in generating more listings, thus generating more income. Vendio makes a tidy little sum off me each month; and each month I feel short-changed in the service dept from them. The business relationship should be mutual, and it's not.

It is disgraceful how professional sellers are treated here, especially by the customer service dept. We are continually left in the dark during "intermittent" outages. There is no consistency whatsover to appeals for assistance on the boards - just whenever a Vendio person gets around to responding.

This store issue is/was a last attempt with Vendio. Sonya's reply is so typical of her attitude in all her replies on the board. Just who are the paying customers here - the sellers who try to use this program, or the employees who are inconvenienced by having to assist someone?

There are some serious issues here which management needs to address and soon.

Hi Wgm,

I am sorry if you think that I am not interested in helping, you are quite wrong on this point. Answering inquiries on the forums is not an inconvenience to me -- it is my goal, as well as the others' goal, to resolve any issues brought up in the forums.

I would like to suggest that in addition to posting, that you try sending us an email as well as that is the best way of receiving the quickest help. We have a response time of 24 hours or less, and email support is available seven days a week so you will always have a response from us in a timely manner. Majority of communication with customers takes place via email so it may be of more help to you to cover your bases and do both.

I should have mentioned in my previous that I have forwarded this thread over to the Product Managers that handle Pro -- as you may or may not know, a new version is coming soon. I know the workaround that I gave you is not that much of a timesaver, but that one -- as well as the one Beth suggested -- are the only ones available and they both do take some time.

I apologize for any misunderstanding this may have caused.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi WGM,

Sorry for the late response! Yes, HTML works in store listings. However you may want to be careful of what you use since the listings are incorporated into the existing store design so you don't want to have the listing look corrupted with a lot of HTML.

You can copy closed items to your Vendio store. To copy a particular closed item to your inventory for future use, follow these steps:

1) Go to the 'Closed' section of control panel
2) Select the item you wish to copy, and click the 'relist' button
3) Click on the 'edit' link next to the selected item
4) Scroll to the bottom of the item listing, click the box next to 'save this item in my inventory', then click the 'save' button
5) Cancel relist if you wish to just save and not relist the auction
6) Go to the item in inventory, select it and click the Edit icon, and fill out the Store Information tab and set a quantity in store to put it in your Vendio store.

Note that the listing will be saved into the "unfiled" folder in Inventory.

Regards,

Sonya
