Are any enhancements for Vendio stores in the works, i.e., better custom colors, templates, etc? If so, what is the projected timeframe?
It would most definitely behoove Vendio to give the store features a facelift, especially now with the store increases at eBay.

Hi Wgm,
What would you like to see, regarding store enhancements? Please let us know either here or via email and I'll make sure that it gets passed on to the Product Development team.

The colors are very limited; and quite honestly it is impossible to come up with something that looks half-way presentable given the color combinations to work with.
Additionally, I have asked about the functionality of HTML in store listings and have never received a reply.
It would also be nice to be able to use custom templates to make the store listings more appealing.
These options would be a great start

Hi Wgm,
Thank you for providing your input, I will go ahead and log these suggestions on your behalf. Regarding HTML, if you can point me to the post then I will answer it for you -- sorry if we missed anything! In your store, you can use HTML, however since the store is already formatted a certain way you would want to make sure you aren't doing anything that might alter the general look of the store. But the store can function with HTML in the description.

The question I had regarding HTML was in the "Store Inventory" thread.
Now would be an excellent time for Vendio to beef up the stores, especially considering eBay's increases. I read somewhere earlier that just over 500 stores have been closed since yesterday when the increases were announced; with the increases going into effect on February 18 I think there will be considerable number of store owners bailing.
Think Vendio can give us something to work with in a month? It would be nice

I don't want to butt in on someone else's question, but I would really like to see the stores beefed up also.
My request would be the ability to use a theme. I customized one of the templates for my auctions and would like to bring the look over into my store. I have tried to do it in a limited way, but can't get it to look right with current set up.
I am also very anxious to see the new checkout system that was mentioned several months back.

Gtootie - I am so glad you are speaking up about the Vendio stores...I sure wish more sellers would!
I have been mentioning to a few of my regular buyers that I am considering a "Shop at Vendio" ("The Shops at Vendio" - I think that sounds so much better than "Vendio Stores" ), and not one of them have expressed reservations about shopping with me somewhere other than eBay. Actually two of them wanted a link to Vendio so they could browse the existing stores.
I am waiting to see exactly what Vendio is going to do for us before I make any decision concerning my eBay store.
Vendio?

I wrote about this in the EO, but will put it here also.
A couple of years ago the people who host my website decided to stop supporting stores. I was under a lot of stress at the time and could not deal with finding a shopping cart and setting it up. So, I simply put a big link on my gift shop page to my Vendio "Shop". I also started putting more time and energy into eBay. Between the two my sales picked up on at Vendio.
I use the checkout. A lot of people don't like having a checkout, but I have very few problems from my customers about it. And I can't tell you how many click on that continue shopping button and buy more. When someone from eBay ask me if I carry a particular dog, I point them to it on Vendio. They have no problem buying from there.
That is why it is so important for me to give it "my look". People recognize my auctions by my little dog and the template I use. I want them to recognize my store also.
I would also like it if people who come in from my website would be sent back there after they checkout. Like they never left.

I say a great BIG Yes to all of the above!
I am one of the EBay Stores that is bailing because of the new fees. I would love to see a New "Facelift" on My Store Front at Vendio. Don't mean to be insulting but the store as it is now is very boring and cold.
I agree it would be great to have the ability to use a theme. Customized one of the templates for auctions and bring the look over into the store.
I hope Vendio takes advantage of this time as with all the upset EBayers looking for a new place to call home. I would think this is a great opportunity for Vendio. If you were to create a new look for the stores, make them available to current store owners, you would have instant marketing.
I love using the new Vendio Inventory Edition program. You all did a great job with that. Now PLEASE help us Store Owners and give us a new "Terrific Facelift"..... Quickly!
