One of my buyers notified me that he was unable to purchase multiple items from my store, everytime he added 1 item and clicked continue shopping and added another, the 1st item would not be there!
I tested it myself and sure enough same thing! ( no wonder I wasn't getting multiple item purchases recently since I switched my website )
It works fine if similar items are added (upsell items) after the 1st, but I think when you click 'continue shopping' the cart empties.

Hmmm, that does sound strange. I tested the process from my end. I tried following your procedure at your store and my store as well. I found no problems with hitting the continue shopping button. In fact, the picture in the link below shows the items I added to my shopping cart at your store. I added each one at a time by hitting the continue shopping button.

I tried it on 2 different computers and it doesn't work for me, neither for the buyer who contacted me, and there could be many more.
Can this be a caching settings problem.
Can someone else try to put multiple items in the cart from from my store and let me know if successful - www.perfumestorefront.com
thanks
Have you since changed anything in terms of your redirect that is setup to go from www.perfumestorefront.com to your storefront instead?
I checked on both Firefox and Internet Explorer and even when going through the redirect rather than directly to your storefront URL, it seems to be able to add items to the cart properly.
Some users do run into issues when trying to frame their store within a webpage, but using a simple redirect should work without error (and appears to be working currently, perhaps you have since made some changes.)

now that i try it on a 3rd computer, it works!
its probably the settings on some computers as opposed to others
i haven't made any changes though
i will do more research on this to find the root of the problem

ok, the problem is with cookies and url forwarding
if someone goes directly to shop.vendio.com/perfumestorefront, and if the security setting for privacy is anything over medium, the problem occurs.
and if somebody goes to perfumestorefront.com which is forwarded to shop.vendio.com/perfumestorefront, and their security setting is anything over low, the problem occurs.
any workarounds to enable cookies with medium or lower security settings and url forwarding turned on, which is necessary of course?

Hello perfumestorefront,
I believe this has to do with the URL masking option that you have when setting it up to forward. Rather than just forward one URL to another, you can make it look like you are always on a certain URL even when you have left the page and gone to another.
Chances are the latter where it masks the real URL even after the forward is whats causing trouble with the shopping cart and cookies with higher security settings. You may want to switch to a simple forwarding system instead where it later displays the true url for the site.
