I have noticed that the size of the print in both store description and categories has become smaller. The font in the categories section and the item descriptions has gotten so small, we may need a magnifying glass to read the print.
I personally was hoping that there could be another section of text on the front page, however, with the current trend, we may just be fortunate enough to retain the store Welcome message.
This was part of the new changes we made when releasing the new checkout (new checkout has better promotion of your Vendio Store when customers go through your Vendio Checkout). I will forward your comments on to Product Development.

When was someone going to tell us. I do not recall reading anything about smaller fonts and pictures in the stores. Imagine, if you would, all Vendio customers decreasing their monthly payments by 10%. And, not telling you that the payments were being decreased until after the fact. Further, how has the checkout enhanced our stores, when in return, the fonts and images have been decreased?
Pass my note onto whomever, as I do not believe anything will come of it. The strands throughout the Vendio boards are full of customer service passing customer concerns onto whomever, with virtually zero results.
We always pass on all feedback and feature requests to the Developers that have created/updated features. Often times the feedback causes a reversal of something that customers are very unhappy with.

Hi kozersky,
I'm on the team responsible for user interface design at Vendio. I agree with you that the font is too small. We'll be enlarging it again next week.
We do get a lot of feedback, and some fixes can be made more quickly than others, but don't doubt that we pay close attention to what we hear from our customers. It really does get passed along to us and it really does make a difference -- it's how we stay in touch with what you want and need.
Thanks for your patience and constructive criticism!

Thank you for changing the font size.
I need to state that I do like the Vendio storefront, and the system. Todate, I have not had any problems with the new shipping options. In fact, the checkout system is now streamlined, as I use the store checkout option. Further, my main selling items (christmas seals) appear on the first and second pages of a Froogle search. The inventory sytem allows me to keep track of my items and where they are listed. Launching items to ebay and Yahoo has been simplified by using the Vendio sysytem. And, post sale operations are much easier because of Vendio.
Now, I have hundreds if not thousands of items to list in my Vendio and ebay stores. I have been gradually acquiring and building inventory in anticipation of operating a full time operation, rather than an occasional sale. I could have easily changed to another 3rd party provider for my needed services. However, I did not, and will not. I have remained a Vendio customer, because of service, system and price.
I still have just one more lingering request. The front page of the storefront lacks balance. There is wasted space which could be easily filled in with another description block, or an enlarged description block. This would allow further description of the business or store contents. The About page could us a similar rescue, however, I would be satisfied with an updated front page.

Also ditto Bill.
I, too, enjoy nice returns from my Vendio store (by straight froogle sales and by add-ons to ebay store sales). I've tried all the other "big guys" and Vendio seems to suit me best.
However, the stores DO need some help. They are just too simplistic looking with very limited color choices and have a lot of wasted space. And not enough usable space for text, graphics, etc.
I really need more characters for store page text.
Thanks so much for your feedback. It's going to be really helpful to us when we are able to spend some time evaluating the next steps in improving Stores for subscribers. A lot of us are at eBay Live this weekend chatting with Vendio users who've come to San Jose to meet us face-to-face -- if you're going to be there tomorrow, stop by the booth, ask for Drew, and tell me all about your experience with Stores so far. For those of you who are commenting here, feel free to send your comments and requests for Stores improvements directly to me at [email protected]. That way I can easily tally up the top requests and share them with the rest of the Vendio team.
Thanks for the response. In your reply, you state: "It's going to be really helpful to us when we are able to spend some time evaluating the next steps in improving Stores for subscribers."
Now, to me, this indicates that you might devote both time and money into a store redesign in the future. While this may be well and good, I do not think all that is necessary. Any changes that you might make to the stores should be simple, as many of us are not adept at designing our own stores, and might not want to devote our resources to have someone else set up our stores.
I know that I am pleased with the basic design, and only ask for additional space for enhanced description on the store Home page and the About page. Such enhancements will serve all of us very well without expenditures of time and money. Perhaps you can do a "tweak" here and there to help us out.
