When are we going to be able to checkout using Authorize.net or anything but the absurdly priced Verisign? I have MANY abandoned carts when the Buyer sees CC-Manual during checkout. Vendio Stores would be an almost PERFECT way to move Buyers off Ebay if there was a way to process credit cards (other than Paypal).

hello Michael,
So MANY within the last 8 days, huh? = )
We are currently in the process of adding additional merchant services, and we are evaluating which will work best for our users. We hope to have these available soon.

"So MANY within the last 8 days, huh? = )"
Well...er....YES! I have had about 20 store purchases in the last "8 days" that were not paid because of CC_Manual. They email me and say they are "not comfortable" with the manual CC processing. These are not Ebayers, they are Joe Schmoes directed to the store by Shopzilla!
My conclusions "after only 8 days" is that a Vendio Store is a super way to get off-ebay business and adding Shopzilla to the mix is a good investment. However, if customers abandon their orders due to a lack of Checkout CC processing then the benefits are negated.
I do $40k-50k a month on Ebay alone and have a seperate web site whichs adds a few more bucks. I have used all the major AMS's (CA, MW, etc.) and am now trying Vendio and kyozou. I am so impressed with the ease and integration of Vendio Stores that I've forwarded my domain to it! On the other hand, the Checkout is seriously lacking (no invoice numbers, no CC checkout, inflexible communications with non-ebay customers).
You guys have a serious winner here in Vendio Stores. Just a few more enhancements would make it a champion, IMHO.

I have to agree....
I also am losing money and sales for customers who want to pay with a cc and are not comfortable doing it over the phone...
They don't know me... and I can't say as I blame them... but I have been in business for over 15 years..
We need something in check out for buyers to use a credit cards and keep these sales....
I love my Vendio store.. and would much rather have a Vendio sale.. then have a Ebay sale...
I push my Vendio store.. and want to keep all the sales I can on the site and have my buyers happy and secure.....
I am a small seller compared to some sellers... so I can not afford a high monthly fee for secure cc transactions.... Keep the price within reason... and I will be one to the 1st ones to join and sign up.....
wrightsracing - PayPal is now getting users setup with PayFlowPro accounts but using your PayPal account as the merchant, so you can just pay the standard websitepayments monthly fee ($20/m.)
The service is still in Beta, but they have setup a number of users thus far and its been working great.
If your interested let us know and we'll email you the PayPal rep's contact information to get setup.
This would allow your buyers to pay with a credit card directly in the checkout system in Vendio. (without being redirected to another page/site to complete payment.)

I think everyone just wants more options, I have verisign mostly because its the only thing you guys take, I would be getting a much better rate if I was with authorize.net and another merchant service.
What about google checkout?... they are having a promotion right now and its free till the end of 2007
We are currently in the process of adding additional merchant services, and we are evaluating which will work best for our users. Google checkout and Authorize.net are two of the services that we are evaluating.
Christopher I am interested in the 20 dollar plan, currently I am looking at the 249 set up option plus 59. If I can get it for 20 dollars Id be very interested. Please email the reps name.

Hi Chris,
Email me the reps name too. The one I talked to did not seem to know anything about it.
Also, we too lose approx 50% of all Vendio Store sales because of the sub par checkout. It is very frustrating for us and causes us to lose valuable customers that simply don't trust the hokey checkout. They then are basically lost forever to another site(s) that have a better checkout. Please, please, please, make improving the checkout Vendio's #1 priority in the store enhancements.
