I cannot figure out how to put my listings in categories in my Vendio Store. Please help! Thanks in advance! plus, does doing this interfere with auctions that are in progress or ebay store inventory?

For existing items:
If you go to Inventory, you can use the Move function to move the items to store categories.
It will allow you to create new category if you have not done so.
For new items:
Start by Creating a vendio store item (click on icon in top left corner) or create a new inventory item (Inventory management, click on NEW button). All inventory items are in your store automatically.
In create a vendio store item, there is a pull down menu at the VERY Bottom of the form that allows you to place the item in an existing category or create a new category. Same thing occurs if you are using the create an inventory item
To convert an ebay closed auction to vendio store, go to Postsale, edit, and at the bottom there is an option to "sell XXX number in my vendio store" and the same menu options of categories.
If you have not created your store categories you can do that either in the store area (pull down menu upper right) or in Inventory Management there should be a link reading: Edit Your Store Categories.

Thank you Beth! Those instructions are correct for Merchandising Edition, but tanis689 is on Inventory Edition, so it works a little different in this case.
tanis689, by default, items in your SMIE inventory will be visible in your Vendio Store. A quick way to determine which items are displayed in your Vendio Store is to check the Vendio Store column on the righthand side of the page in your SMIE inventory list. If a category appears here, it means that this item is displayed in your Vendio Store.
To add or remove items from your Vendio Store, please follow these steps:
1. Go to inventory and locate the items you want to add/remove from your Vendio Store (use folders, and/or Search.)
2. Click the "Find and Replace" button.
3. Under Field, select "Store Visible".
4. Under Visible, select either "Visible" or "Not Visible".
5. Under Apply to, select the items you want added to or removed from your Store by clicking the checkboxes next to them (or use the "all" option.)
This will enable you to manage the state of your Store items in bulk. Also note that putting an item in your Vendio Store does not interfere with any current auctions or eBay store items for that inventory item. However, adding an item to your Vendio Store will decrease the quantity available for the item. So you would need to have enough quantity available in order to place the item in your Vendio Store, eBay store, and eBay auction at the same time.
