Hi, I've been checking google and none of my items are showing up when I do a search. This happened to my store before back in June. What do I do?

Hello Dave,

I searched for a few of your items on Google, but I was able to locate them without a problem. Could you please let us know one of the specific items where you are having this problem, and also the search terms that you are using to try and locate it?

Regards,
Nathan

What items did you search for because every item I just searched for I could not find. For example. I tried to search for Super Mario 64, elevator action for NES, Mega Man, and Kid Icaurus for NES. All yielded no results on google when I search for them.

Hello Dave,

Thank you for the information. I just went to Google now and searched for the following in quotes:

NINTENDO 64 SYSTEM WITH SUPER MARIO 64 AND 007

and

SUPER MARIO 64 Complete With Box Cart and Manual! Low Price!

They both pulled up a link to the item in your Store without any problem.

The following did not appear, however. It is likely that Google did not accept the item due to either excessive capitalization or excessive punctuation in the item title.

SUPER MARIO 64 FOR NINTENDO 64!! BEST MARIO GAME EVER!!

I was not able to locate any items in your Store for elevator action for NES.

There are 23 different Mega Man items in your Store. While I was not able to locate the items that are in all caps and have multiple exclamation points in the titles, I was able to locate the others that I searched for.

Also, I was not able to locate this item:

KID ICARUS FOR NINTENDO NES!! RARE GAME!! MINT

It is again likely that the item is not appearing in Google as the title is in all caps and the multiple exclamation points.

Please try revising your item titles so that they are not in all caps and do not contain exclamation points, as this can cause Google to reject the items, and let us know should you continue to have trouble with this.

Regards,
Nathan

I just tried the same titles you said you had no problem retrieving from Google Product Search and none of them came up. I even did this simple search in Google. I typed in vendio store video game. I did not have even one listing appear. I clicked all the way up to page 30. If you are seeing my listings tell me how you're doing it because I'm not seeing anything. Usually if I do a product search I'm on page 1,2, or 3.

Thanks,
Dave

Hello Dave,

Please try this. Go to http://www.google.com. Then type in the following in the search bar (including the quotes):

"NINTENDO 64 SYSTEM WITH SUPER MARIO 64 AND 007"

And click "Search". Please let us know the results.

Regards,
Nathan

It showed up in a google web search but not on google shopping. I'm sorry I wasn't more specific. I don't think the feed is getting there. When I do a product search in Google shopping for other Vendio Stores I can find them but I don't see any items of my store there.

Hello,

The feeds for your account are being submitted automatically each day, no need to submit manually once you make the needed corrections.

If google did send the email about this it should have gone to your roadrunner email address (the primary you use in your Vendio account.)

Chris

I'm going to redesign and go from there. I was thinking of changing my domain as well. Do you think I will be fine after I change the capital letters and punctuation on the site and change the domain name? I really don't know what else to do accept maybe add more description as well. How do I go about changing my domain name and how does it affect my store?

Thanks,
Dave

Hello Dave,

Were you able to get a reply from Google? Unfortunately, since we haven't received a specific reason from Google it is difficult to say if that will fix the problem. However, I do think it is likely that the capital letters and punctuation are part of the problem (I just can't say for sure whether or not that will fix the problem completely). When you say that you are looking at changing your domain name, do you mean that you have a redirect set up from your own domain to your Vendio Store? Or are you trying to change the actual Vendio Store URL?

Regards,
Nathan

I haven't heard anything from Google. Its really troubling. I want to change the actual vendio store url after I make the punctuation changes. How do I go about doing that?

Hello Dave,

The only way to change the Store URL is to change your account user name, unfortunately. I am sending you some more specific information about that through email.

Nathan

Ok, I finally heard from Google. They stopped listing it because of duplicate content on my other site. I shut down my other site today so I'm ready to change the store url on this one. Could you send me the info again?

Thanks,
Dave

Hello Dave,

You may actually locate that information now within your Vendio account. To do this, go to "Help" (at the top right of the page in your account) --> click the "Email / FAQ" link below "Contact Us" --> click the "My Support Requests" tab --> then click on the title of the message that I had sent you earlier (titled "Vendio account name change" ).

Regards,
Nathan
