I sell a lot of baseball cards. I want to offer combined shipping. What is the best way to set this up?
Mostly at a flat rate shipping charge. Say $3.50 for the first card purchased. Then just 50 cents for each additional card purchased. Each card would be a different store item.

You can set up combined shipping discounts, but it can only be done for all of the items that you are selling, unfortunately. This can be done by going to "Preferences" (at the top right of most pages in your Vendio account). Then select "Orders" from the drop-down box at the top of the page and scroll down to the "Combined Shipping Discounts" section. Then use the "Discount Tiers" section in order to set up the shipping charges for multiple items.

Is there a work around solution that I could offer to my customers? In each item description I can add text saying what the combined shipping would be. But then how do I actually change the shipping? Do I have to make them over pay the shipping and then issue a refund?

Unfortunately, if you are only offering the discount for certain types of items then that would be the solution that would probably work best for you. You also could ask the buyer to refrain from paying until you have manually corrected the shipping for the order. If all of your items had the same deal, then you could use the discount tiers to set this up (but it is not possible to apply them to only specific items). Another possibility would be to use the weight based discount, which would not give the the exact charges you are looking for, but might be similar.

Hello,
You may make this change under "Orders" --> "Sold Items" --> then click on the order number for the order --> then double-click on the current shipping price in order to update it, and be sure to save the changes. Please preview the invoice to make sure it is correct and then it can be resent.
