I want to move my vendio store to godaddy hosting account. After I run the installer, I got the following:
The installer was unable to verify htaccess rules. Your Store will be fully functional but some search engines may encounter difficulties accessing some of the pages.
Has anyone any idea what I should do?

Hello,
It's common for the htaccess rules to fail verification on Godaddy unfortunately, but as long as the store displays ok you should be fine. Let us know however if you get any error codes in place of the store itself when you go to the storefront/website itself.

Chris

Hello,
Please try changing the permissions of the root directory, and let us know if that helps. If the permissions are already set to 777, please try setting them to 755. If they are already set to 755, please try 777.

Nathan

my files are in subdirectory "store". So I tried both 777 and 755 (it was 707) but no change, still the same problem.
Do I need to apply that to all folders and files in the subdirectory?

in my "store" subdirectory, there are only 2 files: htaccess and index.php. Is that correct?

Hello,
Please download the investigator file and upload it to the same directory where the Store is currently installed, and then let us know once this has been completed. You may download the investigator file here:

I need to reinstall the store in godaddy. The folder is now completely empty with nothing except installer and htaccess file. the folder and htaccess files are both 777.
when I click the installer, I get the following:
Verification failed:
PHP 5.2.17 ok
Connected successfully to http://stores.vendio.com/
Ping back successful
Secure connection ok
File rights ok
Htaccess rights ok
The installer was unable to verify htaccess rules. Your Store will be fully functional but some search engines may encounter difficulties accessing some of the pages.
I think htaccess is blank inside when I looked at it. I called godaddy and they told me I need to contact vendio to find out what needs to be in htaccess. Can you please help?

Thank you for contacting Vendio Support.
To point your website to your Vendio store just edit the DNS settings and set up the www and @ entries as CNAMEs to stores.beta.vendio.com.
Example CNAME records:
www CNAME 208.82.246.132
@ CNAME 208.82.246.132
Please do let us know once you have completed updating the CName record so that we can complete the pointing process.
