Looking in "Manage Items" for Google Product Search, I noticed that nearly every item was listed twice. This is probably why I've dropped completely out of Google searches... Can the duplicates be removed?
The "Change Status" button seems to do nothing so I have no easy way of removing the 250 or so duplicates.
Can the entire list be deleted and rebuilt from my current listings?

I've gone in and paused the duplicate listings, or so I thought. Apparently some that I paused were the genuine listings - there's no way to tell the difference when changing their status.
It's now showing 111 items out of 291 as being distributed. Still, I'd pefer to be able to compile a new, clean list of items to submit to GPS rather than having this mysterious mess that I have now.

Ok, now I've manually paused all the duplicates. Items distributed now shows as 69, down from 111, out of a total of 291 actual items.

Hello,

I checked your account, but noticed that you have 291 total items in your Vendio account, and 291 items showing as being available to distribute to Google. Are you seeing that there are more than 291 items? Or are the duplicates part of the 291 items?

If you are seeing that there are more than 291 items, please provide a specific example, so that we can take a closer look. If the duplicates are part of the 291 items, then the best way to handle this is to delete the duplicate that you do not need (under "Items" --> "My Items" ).

Also, I checked your Google feed and noticed that it is currently being disapproved as your URL has not been claimed. Would you like us to claim the URL for you?

Hi - If I go to Channels/Comparison Shopping/GPS/Manage Items the duplicates appear. The listings themselves aren't duplicated, they just appear twice each (a few appear 3 times, and some appear only once) in that list. There are a total of about 720 items in that list.
I thought I had claimed the URL, I've jumped through a lot of the Google hoops for the various Google services for this site and apparently missed that one. If you could run the claim through that would be great.

Just to clarify one thing.. I do have the site connected with Google Analytics, Checkout, Webmaster Tools and Merchant Center, although there aren't any feeds going to MC.

Thank you for the additional information. I was able to see the duplicate items, and have asked our engineers to take a look. We will let you know as soon as we hear back from them.

Also, I claimed your URL for you. Please be sure not to claim it in another Google Merchant Center account, as this will cause your Vendio feed to fail.

Hello,

They should go through without any action on your part, at this point. However, please let us know should your items not appear on Google after about 24 - 48 hours.

The "Items Distributed" figure in Channels/Comparison SHopping has gone up from 69 to 72, that6 seems to be a good sign. Some items are now showing up in Google Shopping.
Thanks for your help, I'll keep an eye on it and make sure the feed is running smoothly.

While the number in this section can be useful, it is unfortunately not always completely accurate. The best place to check which of your items are showing on Google is the following link (which shows all of your items that are currently showing in Google Product Search). Right now there are 256 results for your account. Please take a look and let us know should you need further assistance. The link is:

Marcia - If you can get any of your items to show up in Google Shopping, check the lower left of the screen for a list of merchants. You should appear in that list and can see all your items by clicking on your store's name.

Now I've got 297 items listed, 653 listings (including duplicates, triplicates...) in Channels/Comparison Shopping/Managa Items and 0 being distributed to Google...

Hello,

In order to correct the problem, please go to "Channels" --> "Comparison Shopping" --> "Manage Items". Google now requires that your product identifiers be sent to them. Please enter in your product identifiers and select "Active" from the drop-down box in the "Current Status" column. Then allow 24 - 48 hours for the changes to be sent to Google, and let us know should you continue to have trouble with this.

The main problem at this point is one I'd mentioned originally - in COmparison Shopping/ Manage Items 659 items are listed although I only have 303 actual listings. There doesn't seem to be a way for me to eliminate any or all of them, so I ahve no way of removing the items that are showing up 2 or 3 times in Manage Items. Multiple submissions of he same listing to Google is prohibited, so there's still nothing I can do with this.

Hello,

We have asked the engineers for an update on your issue with the duplicates showing in the Manage Items page. Note that the duplicates will not appear within the actual distribute page or be sent to Google as duplicates, but it does need to be cleaned up from your manage items page for easier management going forward.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Even though the duplicate listings don't show up on the distribution list, I'd have to modify all 659 appearing in Manage Itemsto be sure that the correct ones got updated with all the information that Google now requires. It seems the obvious solution is to remove the current list of items then recompile it.. hopefully this can be corrected soon since the summer riding season will be tapering off soon...
