Hi! We selected "Golden Sun" for our template. We thought the blue area was for featured items, but it turns out it's some kind of promotional area. The blue area looks nice with our logo and is one of the main reasons we chose this template, and we want to keep the blue intact.
We have tried everything to edit this area and highlight our own items. We managed to get some of the default wording out of there, but not the picture of the watch, and we can't seem to add our own items and pics.
I guess my question is two part:
1. Is there a way to change the blue area to Featured Items WITHOUT losing the blue background?
2. If not, then how can we utilize this promotional area for our own items? We got it to where it says "click to edit" but it does not work.
Unfortunately, the blue area and the watch are part of the same image. It is not possible to remove one without removing the other. In order to replace the image of a watch on a blue background with your own image, please go to the Template Editor. Then move your mouse so it is in the center of the face of the watch and click. Then select "Replace Background" in order to select your own image.
The area below the watch and blue background is where your featured items will appear. (Where your dining set is showing currently.) Any items that you mark as home page featured will show in this section. It is not possible to change the blue area so that it is where your featured items appear, unfortunately.
In order to edit the different text that shows over the blue area with the watch, from the Template Editor place your mouse over each text that you want to edit, click, and select "Edit Content".

Hi Nathan,
Thanks so much for the fast response!!
How about if we delete the promo area and move Featured Items into its place. If we find a blue background we like, can we insert it into the Featured Items box so that all the featured items show on top of it?
Also, would it be possible to access a copy of your sky pic and edit it with our photo editing software?
What you are trying to do would unfortunately be rather complicated and involve using your own HTML code. The specifics of how to do this are unfortunately beyond the scope of what we would be able to help you with here. If you are trying to move the Featured area so that it is where the blue background is, you would be better off picking a different template (that already does not have the blue area).
In order to pull the image, first go to your Store and right-click on the image. Then select "view background image". The image should then show up on its own page. Then right-click on the image again and select "save image as" in order to save a copy of the image to your computer.
