Am I missing something? I sent 2 messages to customer service about 2 different issues and have heard nothing back!

Domain name. I have a domain and I would like to use it for my vendio store. How do I do this?

I clicked on upgrade so that I could use the amazon and ebay modules. When you click on the link, it takes you to a pop up that states $10.00/month which includes 1 ebay account and 1 amazon account along with your store. But when you click to continue, it charges you $19.95. I've gone through the process several times and I am not missing anything. I'm seeing what I am seeing!

Answers to these from anyone would be welcome!

Hello,

You weren't missing anything, we just got a little backed up from the longer holiday weekend and didn't yet get to all of the emails sent in yesterday. It looks like the billing department has responded to you for your billing question already.

For your domain name question:

To point your website to your Vendio store just edit the DNS settings and set up the www and @ entries as CNAMEs to stores.beta.vendio.com.
Example CNAME records:

www CNAME stores.beta.vendio.com
@ CNAME stores.beta.vendio.com

When you’re done email us back so we can complete the pointing process for you.

If you have your website setup at godaddy the process is a little different:

Edit the DNS settings and set up the www entries as CNAMEs to stores.beta.vendio.com under the “Total DNS Control” section in your Godaddy account.
Example CNAME records:
www CNAME stores.beta.vendio.com

Next you will need to forward your domain to www.yourdomainname.com (replacing this with your own URL.)

That should point both www.yourdomainname.com (with the WWW) and http://yourdomainname.com (without the WWW) to your Vendio Store.

When you’re done email us back so we can complete the pointing process for you.

Regards,
Chris

When you had me make changes within my domain registrar, I was under the understanding that when you typed in my domain name, that is what would come up rather than just being redirected to the vendio.mystore.com. This is a little unprofessional and I am not happy with this arrangement, plus if I email anything....it doesn't get sent! Is there a problem with the set up?

Hello,

When setup properly you will never see the Vendio store URL, only your own domain name.

What is your custom URL/domain name? For it to work, once your done setting the above at your registrar, we still need to point your store to it before it will display properly.

Chris

Thanks Chris for taking the time to respond. I have submitted this request to support, but support is extremely slow to respond. This is not my first ecommerce venture and to say I am frustrated is putting it mildly. Phone support would be much better, but do not feel that a company should charge to support their product...just my opinion. I can't even begin to imagine if I charged my customers to solve a problem.

Everything has been done on my end, and was supposedly done on your end, but still...not working. I also need an exemption for my products for the google feed.

Hello,

We have changed your product feed in Google. Most of your products are rejected due to missing attributes, only one of them has error of "missing product identifier". Once you enter the attributes, we can file an UPC exemption request for you to ask Google to grant you approval.

Please check the page below (see #4) for the attributes required when you list under the "Apparel" category:

http://support.google.com/merchants/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=188494#US

Please go to "Channels" > "manage items". Click on "Add Attribute" for each item and enter the attributes. We will send a new feed to Google over night.

We have finished the pointing process. Please make sure your www CNAME record in Godaddy is set to stores.beta.vendio.com. Then use the domain forward function to forward designermagnetics.com to www.designermagnetics.com. It looks like you use the "domain forward" to send your domain name to forward your domain name http://www.vendio.com/stores/designermagnetics/ , so you still see "vendio" in the url.

This is incorrect. Do not forward your domain name to your Vendio address, only setup the CNAME are shown above for the WWW record and then forward designermagnetics.com to www.designermagnetics.com.

Regards,
Chris
