I have no idea of the origin/name/theme of these tiny people. As a child, we had a set of tiny figures, approx 2” tall. There were ice skaters, lamp posts, possibly a park bench, and it seems there were also carollers. During the Christmas holiday we would set-up these tiny figures on a mirror with fake snow creating a beautiful wintry scene. If anyone knows anything about this, especially the name or manufacturer, I would really appreciate hearing from you. Thanks!

I have a set of these figures that I purchased from Sears Christmas catalog sometime between 1965-67. Needless to say, I won't part with them, but I just thought it might give you a place to start looking. In addition to the pieces you described, there is also a horse pulling a sleigh with 2 people in the sleigh, skiers, a man pulling a sled with 2 young children on it, etc. There is a place called Castings that sells the molds for figures similar to these.
Hope this helps.

I don't know how old you are, but could these items possibly be made by Dept. 56 or Lefton? If you go to eBay, then collectibles, then Dept. 56 you will see many, many items. Maybe, even if they aren't your originals, you might like them. Try Dickens Village first, then Snow Village. Good luck!
