Have a look at vrane.com - there's lots of other useful stuff there too like the feedback widget which brings up a users negatives & neutrals in profile.
If you want to snipe without software you need to open a new windows browser and put in your bid amount BUT don't confirm the bid untill the last few seconds (anything from 10 to 2 secs). To get it right you need a digital clock to count down exactly....in your other open window you refresh / reload the page constantly to keep an eye on the bids.

go to timbercreeksoftware.com they have a great auction program it has a snipe you can set it for when you want it to bid. it tracks all your auctions, sends out email, and does a little bit of book keeping, if you are interested get the SE version. It also has like a thirty day or maybe smaller, but it has a trial period to see if you really like it. I love it myself.
