I have a very old, very awesome life magazine here. I would like to put it up for auction on EBAY. What should I ask for it and what is it worth? This is dated december 6, 1963...adn originally sold for 25....On the front is Mrs. kennedy, caroline and john jr. ...This has to be worth a small fortune... but what?
Any help is appreciated.... or email me at

If no one has e-mailed you yet with any information on your magazine, why don't you copy and past this same question and post it over at eBay Outlook here at Auction Watch. I'm sure there are many there who could answer your question. Good luck!

Ichele, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but. If you search on ebay these only sell for a few dollars because everyone saved them. JFK was so well loved that everyone put these magazines away and kept them. I have the ones from November and December 1963 and have just been waiting for a promising time to list them. Right after Jackies items were auctioned off price rose a little, the same after John Jr. died. I missed the boat both times.

Although these do not sell for much on Ebay, don't give up! The Antiques Roadshow had a segment on Life Magazines last week, and the one you have is worth about $35. You just have to find the right buyer. I hope you do, that is a great collectible of our nation's history!

If it's in mint condition $10 Otherwise old ads inside are probably worth more cut out and sold in advertisements.
An item is worth only what someone is willing to pay for it.
