I'm looking for a Playstation that is lower than the 9000 series so that we can install a Game Enhancer. A system that already has that installed would be great!

how do I tell if the playstation I have is a 9000 series? my psx was produced August 1995. what are you looking spend on a system. I am interested in selling mine.

Look under your playstation, there is a silver sticker with the letters SCPH and #'s of it's model. The older one's were 1001, 5000, etc. My son bought MANY broken playstaions on ebay with the intent to repair. He fixed 3 and sold them. He still has 10 broken ones.
I would recommend mod-chip vs game enhancer.
