Hi, If Auction Watch services were Free then I could understand that you would need to sell Ad space for Banners and Popups. However, we all know that your service is not free and therefore you should not be forcing us to deal with Popups. I don't have anything against Banners as long as there are not too many. However, Popups are a different thing. They are invasive and a pain in the butt. When I sign on to Auction Watch it is for ONE purpose and that is to manage my auctions. Yes, I know that some would say that all that I have to do is just x out of it, but the point is that Auction Watch is making money off of my auctions and my use of their services and therefore they should put my wants and needs first and not force me to deal with the Popup.

Sincerely,

John

You might as well save your breath--seems pop-ups are here to stay no matter how many complaints there are.

There are a couple of free software programs you might want to look into downloading: PopUp Killer or Adsubtract. Both do the job of zapping pop-ups quite nicely.

AW.. check your click thru rates.. i'm sure no one is click on those annoying banners. we should not have to deal with pop ups if we're paying good money for a service.

Do the right thing AW!!

I agree. If we are paying for your service we should not be subject to these annoying ads. Plus it sometimes takes more than one click to get rid of it. I often have to try two or three times to get rid of a popup ad. It will disappear and then reappear several times before I am able to delete it. Maybe if you could delete it more easily I would be more understanding about your using it. The way it is now, along with the fees, makes me start to think about using another service provider. Please reconsider your decision in the use of these ads.

it's a loosing battle, at least AW put some java scripting into you pop up and pop unders that will let your pop up hit the same person once per session, week, month etc.
if your programmer does not know how to set the java scripting i would be glad to accomodate them for a slight fee.

What amazes me is that anybody would advertise in a way that causes possible viewers to hate the ad and immediately trash it. Whatever pittance they are paying auctionwatch to irritate us is certainly wasted.

I agree popups are a total, useless nuisance. But whether the click-thru rate is zip or not probably doesn't matter as long AW is getting paid for putting them up. I like the idea of not presenting them more than once per person, though.

I love AM/AM Pro, Image Hosting etc and would have to slash my wrists if the service were to vanish, so if the only way you can stay alive is to annoy us periodically, go ahead...

Is it my imagination or are some popup/under moving away from my mouse so that I can't destroy them in one fell swoop?

I have a Norton internet security program that comes with a add blocker it works great! There are still some popups that happen but they are 99% blank when they come up and are easy to click off. Joe

If you insist on keeping the popups, is there any way you can change the casino to a Playboy centerfold??

AW has proven they don't care whether pop-ups annoy or inconvenience their customers. As for me, they are such a nuisance I only use AW on days like today. Otherwise I post my auctions in other ways, so they are losing my fees anyway.
