First, Thanks to all of you at AuctionWatch. I couldn't imagine doing my auctions "the old way" before you guys made it easy. I'm not even sure I can write HTML anymore, and I'm glad of it!
Second, I have an idea for a new feature. It goes like this.
First, we all know that writing an ad once, and selling many times is the way to go. Your inventory system handles this well. We also know that if you are selling multiple items, putting just one on line at a time rather than dutch auctions improves your overall return. Scheduling launches allows us to plan ahead and schedule inventory to be posted in advance, and that's OK too.
But, what we (I) need is a way to trigger the launch of an auction item based on the succesful closing of an existing auction. The idea is to have an identical item launch when one sucessfully closes. That way, if people use buy it now, it just happens, which can't be accomplished with scheduling. I have no doubt that I am loosing sales during the "gaps" between when an item closes, (usually with buy it now) and the next scheduled item launches.
A logical extension of this would be automattic relist after a no sale (just once). These feature parameters should maintained in the inventory database on a per item basis, so you can pick and choose what items you want to manage in this way.
So, there you have it. I'd be interested in hearing your, or anyone else's thoughts on this subject.
In that it's only Thursday, I'll assume the beta version of this will be working by the weekend, right?

I used to use Andale' (their fees are a bit much) and they have these features in place. I would also be very grateful if these could be added to AW.

Hi budstewart,
Great suggestions - I will certainly pass this along for evaluation. We are always open to customer feedback and we love suggestions, so thanks for posting!

>>It would be a nice feature to have but unfortunately we are subject to AW not recognizing the BIN and moving that item to Post Sale. Therefore it requires that we "manipulate" it in order to have it appear in the post sale section. Kind of defeats the purpose of the proposed feature.
