We would like sellers to send to AW a suggestion to build a program that automatically deletes stored images anytime a CLOSED auction is ARCHIVED. We currently have over 2000 images stored, about half are from auctions that are done, and the images are no longer needed. It is so damn time consuming to peer at the thumbnails and delete the images we no longer need. And as far as AW is concerned disk space on thier system is always at a premium.
This would help keep costs down, It would save time for sellers.
When they archive an auction that is closed and completed, they could select a box that would also delete the images attached to that auction, thus killing 2 birds with one stone and freeing up disk space on AuctionWatch's Image Server.
We are asking other sellers to please join us in sending this suggestion to the AW Staff by clicking on HELP and Clicking on CONTACT US and filling out the form.

GREAT IDEA! I will make the suggestion also to AW to delete pics when the auction is archived! I'm TIRED of clicking pics open when they are due to be deleted and I still haven't sold the item! I don't even bother to detete them when the item IS sold as it it too time consuming! I just let them delete themselves......but, I DO archive my auctions when sold......tying the two together would be a MAJOR time saver for sellers and a space saver for AW! Wonder why THEY haven't thought of this WONDERFUL IDEA!
