Hi guys
I spent the summer rounding up a "new" line of inventory
and meanwhile your developers were rendering your listing software virtually useless to me for this new line...
I have been a defender of your services for a long time and brought you numeorus customers...I like you guys...
however with the making "saving items to inventory" so time consuming and cumbersome it is now a useless tool for the majority of my inventory I have started selling.
You are forcing me to shop elsewhere when I don't want to.
if you could make the "save to inventory" a subscription thing and make it easy like it used to be, I would certainly be willing to pay for this service....and I am sure others would too.
I understand why you probably removed the save to inventory option and it is probably because too many people weren't cleaning out their files and they were bogging down your storage facilities, but I am being punished as are some of your other clients who actually utilized "inventory" as part of their business organaizational tools.
run this by the developers will you, it could generate some extra income for you.

Hello dudlee,
I assume you are talking about saving to inventory from SM Pro in this message? If not, please let us know in a little more detail your process so that we can understand what has changed for you.

Hello dudlee,
Can you let us know why you are not simply using SM Pro to store your inventory? If you are uploading from Pro, why not just use that to launch new items?

I have tried putting items into inventory us SMPro and then launched them by dragging the item into a new batch and uploading it. This does not change the number of items in inventory. It still shows the same amount. Is SMPro supposed to act as an inventory control as SM does online or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

first reason
I use five different computors for my business in three locations.
batches are only stored in the one from which you launch, so this would be useless if I launched from location A and wanted to relaunch from location B
Second reason
If I want to create a new batch of items from Batch 1, batch 3 and batch five, I would need to open each batch and drag it into a new batch, which isn't difficult, but I would also need to remember exactly which batch contained what items I wanted.
Storing the inventory items online was so easy for my setup, myself and my staff can work in the inventory files from anywhere.

so I just tried the "save items to store" technique described elsewhere, and there is a limit to how many pics I can have, so that is useless too

Hi there,
The inventory module in SM Pro is not round-trip like online inventory. Round-trip inventory is best utilized if you are creating inventory items online. We are looking at revamping the inventory system at some point - in the meantime, if you are using online inventory a workaround would be to use SM Pro to upload images in bulk and online inventory to actually create your listings.

I find working in the online inventory extremely slow (slower than other areas on this site.). And after about 3 or 4 hours of working online in inventory, the pages start to generate strange text.
