I've just reviewed MY ACCOUNT and found IMAGE charges, which since I'm on the standard account, I SHOULD NOT BE CHARGED FOR! I submitted notice to them, and all I get is their automated system that kicked back a note for me to submit my refund request through the proper channel... Which is a system that makes you place THEIR item account number, definition, and over charge on an INDIVIDUAL BASIS!!!! This system takes FOREVER to complete! So Beware!!! Check your invoices every month to be sure they are NOT stealing money from you!!!! Auction Watch... Shame on you!

They got me in a similar way.....AW also claims that if you use AW Pro to load auctions it is free....not always true...plus god for bid you hit that relist button at ebay...they will hit you so hard with fees you'd think ya bought a share. Plus those forms you mentioned...Your 100% accurate...they are unreal! My AW PRO loaded my auctions twice in an upload an AW has yet to even answer me with anthing else but "you loaded the auctions twice" even after ebay refunded in less than 3 days and agreed there were loading problems with some....I am done....I would be better off throwing that monthly fee out the window. Not to mention the 4-11 days it take to send WBN's.

Hello,

Please do be aware that if you relist your auctions on eBay, it will cause our system to lose track of them and this will result in image hosting charges.

If you receive erroneous charges on your account, you are welcome to apply for a refund. Please be sure to detail the problem when you request a refund.

Thanks,

Diana

Isn't that sweet! No where do I see that relisting through eBay creates additional charges from Auction Watch... I'm reading from the initial agreement that I printed out when AW first started charging for their program... I guess they can add, delete, or change whenever... Not happy!

If someone surfing ebay wants to steal your picture, sometimes they right click on the picture and choose "properties" which basically gives them the URL to your pictures. Then if they use that URL in their own auctions, you will be billed for the .10 per picture for using picture hosting to use in auctions that were not launched using the AuctionWatch services.

As I posted on another thread, if strangers can cause us to be billed for something we didn't use and it gets on our credit card, that is FRAUD.

I told my husband about this situation and he said:

"I agree that it is a problem. Auction Watch should take responsibility for
this if other people can get to the picture on Auction Watch and launch it
from there in their own auctions. I'm sure that complaints to the credit
card companies will produce a deluge of legal baggage to Auction Watch to
change their tune. Someone being able to charge anything to someone else's
card is fraud in the extreme and should be addressed."

"By the way we're working on those fixes but in the mean time please pay us outrageous fees."
Why don't you AW try and fix some of the many gliches that are in your system before going off on this over the top charging of sevices,,,I know that doesn't bring in the revenue you want but it might just leave you with more people to pay fees when the smoke clears.

Hey Richard,

You still here?? How was vacation??

Maybe AW should go to a per MB charge for image hosting based on the average traffic they note for the images on their site...

I have the same problems with folks pirating images from my site too....I believe there are scripts or security measures that can be taken, similar to what Yahoo and other sites do to quash referrers...

Password protect the images except from referrers that the cusotmer selects (eg eBay)...
