A new tactic has been launched by AW to make POP-UPs that can not be easily clicked away like the new amazingly in your face C2IT POP-UP.
I for one am out of here at the end of my term and from the looks of these childish tactic it will be sooner. MUCH SOONER

I just want to add to this, even though there is a "pop-up ad" announcement on this forum from Christopher (I think).
AW, PLEASE stay classy! In late 2000, when I first decided to go to the "dark side" on ebay and move from buyer to seller, I did some homework. I visited and inspected every classy auction in my category that I could find. Invariably these were auctions launched from AW. It was an easy choice to join your free and CLASSY service.
It was your classy templates, and easy-to-follow image hosting and launching that made me stay when the sh*t hit the proverbial fan last March about going from a free service to a fee service.
Pop-up ads, whether they WORK or not, are an unwanted intrusion that is as low-class as a long-distance telemarkter calling WEEKLY at supper hour. Pop-up ads are NOT classy. They are not deserving of a classy auction launching platform!
So, the issue isn't just that this current pop-up ad keeps POPPING UP at each page refresh. The issue is that it was initiated in the first place.
PLEASE go back to the classier ways of advertising, that respect our intelligence. Discreet banner ads are okay. Small margin ads are okay. They give us the choice to click or not. Pop-up ads don't. They raise blood pressure. They make us NOT want to click. They are tacky.
PLEASE reconsider this form of advertising, and remove it - permanently.
Thank you!

PS I chose to put my opinion in this particular thread because the title was so "on target" - "INTRUDING POP UPS".
That is what they are - intruding.

Hi kathleenrock,
The issue with the popups that were coming up way too often has been resolved. For now, we just turned them off.
Thank you for your feedback on the popup style of advertising. For now, they will continue to be a part of the site, we have however forwarded along your concerns to the advertising department for review.
