AuctionWatch now provides full Post-Sale support for eBay Dutch (multiple quantity) auctions, in addition to the ability to launch Dutch eBay listings! You can now use the full suite of AuctionWatch Post-Sale tools on the closed listing to send winning bidder notifications to each buyer, handle payment and shipping, and provide feedback.
Managing eBay Dutch auctions at AuctionWatch is simple. The same services you use for launching and handling post-sale can be used for Dutch Auctions. When you choose a quantity greater than 1 in your listing, the format is automatically set to Dutch. After the auction closes, you manage the post sales process with each buyer individually. For example, if you launched a Dutch auction, with quantity 25, and 22 buyers purchased the item, you can send Winning Bidder Notifications to all 22 buyers individually, in bulk, or even automatically! Each winner's transaction can be marked as paid, shipping tracked. You can also send reminders, leave feedback, and more. Each listing will still reference the original eBay item ID, but can be differentiated by winning bidder. (For example, to find a specific winner, try the "search by winning bidder" feature on the Post Sale Express main page.)
We hope you will enjoy this enhancement; we're confident it will make your use of the Dutch listing format much easier and faster!
** Below are some common questions about the new feature, and their answers: **
Q. What is a Dutch Auction and is anyone allowed to launch Dutch Auctions?
A. The Dutch Auction format allows sellers with identical multiple items to list them in a single auction. A more detailed description for Dutch Auctions along with eBay rules for eligibility can be found at the following page: http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/g-dutch-auction.html
Q. What do I have to do to enable this new feature at AuctionWatch?
A. Nothing! If you do not use Dutch eBay auctions, you will notice no changes.
If you launch and close Dutch eBay listings, now each winner will be presented in the post-sale section of your Auction Manager closed section and Post-Sale views. It will take effect on all Dutch auctions closing from now on, even if they were launched previously.
Q. Does it work with Dutch listings launched from Auction Manager Pro and Business Edition?
A. Yes! Any of the AuctionWatch launching tools can be used; however, the post-sale features must be used within the AuctionWatch website online tools at this time.
Q. Will I be charged a Final Value Fee or other fee for each winner?
A. No. All current billing plans will continue to charge as if there were only one winner. No additional FVF or other fees will apply, even if there are multiple winners.
Q. Will the quantities in Online Auction Manager inventory and Sales Manager Business Edition inventory be accurately reflected for Dutch auctions?
A. Yes! Now the quantities in each inventory system will reflect the outcome of all eBay auctions, including Dutch. Remember that the quantities are only updated when the listing originates from either the Online Auction Manager inventory system or Sales Manager Business Edition inventory system.
