Hi,

I just dowmloaded SMBE and whe I open it it ask for ID and user name, which I fill in and then it goes into automatic synchonization. It goes through Start banner synchonization,banner synchonized,start annoucement synchonization,number of successful item upload:0. Then I get synchonization failed. General server error.
What's the problem?

Do you use a proxy for your Internet connection? What type of Windows are you using?

I do not use a proxy and I have windows 98se.

Hi caraquet,

Please reinstall one product that SMBE is using on Windows 98, and which might not be working properly.

Please go to "Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs" and uninstall the product named "DS Client For Windows 98".

Then download its kit from:
ftp://ftp.catalyst.com/pub/cstools/support/dsclient.exe
...and install it again.

Hi,

When I tried to uninstall DS Client I received this response.
error-could not locate INF file dsclient.ini
