For me, the decision to join Customer Manager comes down to the "condition" of the e-mail received by the customer.
If I were to individually mail from OE6, I can send any HTML composed email, daring the consumer's spam filter to get me.
But that's my choice.
I tried to add a secondary email address of mine to my Vendio store mailing list. My plan was to send my most heavily HTML'd auction through the Vendio customer base emailing system to my secondary address so I can see what it looks like on arrival.
For whatever reason, I can't find a "preview" option on emails send through "Customer" to my customer base.
Unfortunately, me joining my own mailing list, even with a secondary address, didn't take.
There are programs I can buy (High Impact, for one), that will manage my customer base and they have the email sales templates that I'm interested in using.
I don't expect templates from you (unless there's something you have I don't know about) but I'd hate to have to have another entity manage a customer base you are already monitoring unless necessary.
Will the customer receive whatever I send through your customer base emailing or are there limitations of any kind?
You may send HTML-heavy emails through Customer Manager -- if your customer doesn't have their email client set up to read HTML emails they'll just get it all in HTML code. However, it will still reach your customer. There aren't any blocks, Customer Manager works like a regular email client would. The only way an email might not reach a customer is if they have a heavy bulk mail/SPAM filter activated, or they are screening all emails from people and want you to fill out one of those authorization forms in order for your email to get fully sent to the customer.
There is a free CRM tool in Sales Manager -- thats where the mailing list addresses go. You may update Customer Manager with email addresses from there.
I can log a suggestion on your behalf with Product Development for email templates -- I can see how this might be a beneficial time saver.
